Bryce has started eating grass today. Hopefully, he would start to eat hay again soon. He's been eating loads of pellets, cucumber, carrots, and veggies already, so we only give him ocassional top up of critical care today.

Bodie, he's fully settled in now, and he eats loads of hay and grass. He also knows now where and when we get grass (when we open the back door to the garden) and where their fresh veggies come from (when we go to the kitchen).

Just finished with the full clean of the main cage. Bryce started eating some pellets and pea flakes, and Bodie making his mark in the fleece bed. He loves sleeping in fleece beds!

Today, we had to make the hardest decision to put Bryce to sleep. He really wasn't eating much since he had the last 2 dental appointments and we are really just keeping him alive by round the clock syringe feeding.

I am currently in the Philippines to visit my family and won't be back until the 19th. Hubby had to cancel his flight and didn't join me because we couldn't bear to leave Bryce in the boarding with all the attention and feeding he needed. And this past week that he was with Bryce, not once that Bryce had any interest of eating by himself at all. He had his last dental Wednesday last week (just a day after I left) and hubby said he was always hiding and just kept on losing his weight. He didn't even want to interact with Bodie at all and just hiding in his tunnels.

I feel so sad that I am not there for last cuddles and kisses. I also feel very guilty that hubby had to do everything by himself and I know how exhausted he is with everything. After all the things he was doing, Bryce still didn't recover and I know it will hurt him a lot.

Hubby has shown Bryce to Bodie so he knows what happened. This past week, Bodie has been living like he is alone according to hubby, so hopefully he won't really get affected much. We haven't decided anything yet on what to do with Bodie. He is quite happy for the time being according to hubby and eats a lot of hay and grass.

Thank you. For the time being, hubby said that Bodie is happy and eating a lot. Last time I weighed him before I left for the Philippines last Tuesday, he was around 1324g I think. I just wished he could've taught Bryce on how to eat again but sadly, he can't do it. Hubby said the naughty little boy spent the past couple of days trying to hump and chase Bryce, hence Bryce won't even come out of his tunnels.

I’m so sorry you have had to make this heartbreaking decision. I have had a piggy pass away while I was away on holiday so I understand how you feel. You both really have done everything possible for Bryce. He’s reunited over the bridge with his past friends. Sending you and your husband hugs.

Hubby said it's strange coz he doesn't know what to do with himself now. He's been syringe feeding Bryce every 2.5 to 3 hours this past week and now suddenly nothing.

We'll decide by next year on what to do with Bodie. Hubby just bought 4 bags of The Hay Experts Soft Cut Timothy Hay for them because Bodie LOVES it sooooo much. He demolishes them quickly. He eats them all the time. He isn't a big fan of the Oxbow hay blends but he would eat the Haybox meadow hay. Oh and don't forget he demolishes grass too. Every time the back door opens, he runs near it thinking he'll get fresh grass.

Yeah, that's one thing. He said he wasn't having enough sleep coz he keeps on worrying about Bryce so he's waking up earlier than his alarm everyday.

I'm feeling okay. My flight going back to UK is on early morning Tuesday (Manila time). Hubby is doing okay. He's catching up sleep and doing piggy things still for Bodie. He bought a new laptop so that's what occupying his time these past couple days (setting it all up etc.). Thank you for asking.

I’m sure it will be bittersweet coming home this time. So sorry that you had to let Bryce go.
