Pigging Out

Welcome home.
Despite the trauma of losing Bryce I hope you enjoyed being with your family again.
Hope the journey home was trouble free too.
Too much traffic, and some snow when we reached Queensferry! We were supposed to be home by 5pm and only just arrived at 7pm. We were worried of not making it home coz we live up the hill (800ft above) and roads are covered with snow.

At least you’re safe even if it is frustrating with delays.

Wonderful photos how is he in himself? 💙
He is okay. Always asking for grass whenever we open the back door, or always asking for parsley whenever he hears some rustling from the fridge. 😂

But we really need to get him a companion because he isn't playing or running around much. He has the whole living room to himself without another piggy to play with and chase around. The rescues that hubby contacted this past week haven't replied yet to any of his inquiries about their boars for adoption. It's getting frustrating especially when rescues usually close down their doors during Christmas season.

I want to introduce Carson (as in Carson City, Nevada), formerly Bentley, to you all. We adopted him yesterdey from RSPCA in Cumbria. He was part of a boar trio, so it was just about time to separate one from the pack and we chose him. Btw, if anyone is looking for a boar pair to adopt, those other 2 piggies are good to be adopted. They are in a fosterer in Cockermouth.

Carson is around 6 months old, more or less. He is a Rex I believe, like our RB piggy Prince. I thought he was a Teddy at first, but his hair is quite course and not soft like what our RB piggy Bunny had. He is very skittish since we think he hasn't much interaction with people yet. So as soon as we arrived last night, we introduced him to Bodie right away. I have never seen Bodie so happy and make so much noise and be very chatty. He was so excited to be with another piggy. Bless him coz he's been alone for quite some time. Loads of chasing and humping and the boar smell is horrendous! 🤣🤣 But they got on very well in just a snap. Their cage is currently a mess and I will have to do a full clean later anyway. I haven't weighed Carson yet but he is still a tiny little thing compared to Bodie. Bodie is having a hard time chasing him and he was so tired last night that he just splats down in the open a few times to rest a bit, and then start all over again. 😂😁 Bodie is on to him constantly, trying to hump him, but I don't think Carson is that much bothered since he tries to hump Bodie back as well. He is the one that makes the loud rumbling noise all the time and not Bodie.

I'll try to post the video of them I took last night later. 😁
