A place to rant about things that wind you up ( keep it clean lol)

I'm thinking I might be sleeping on the sofa tonight. My sofa is not designed for sleeping on but it's 25C in the bedroom and another body adding to the heat is not going to be helpful. That or I pull and all nighter and get the new run tomorrow and get the pigs in it and then crash. Crash on the sofa anyway. Hmm.
What did you end up doing ? It was sooooo hot last night 🫠

Sofa. Took a pillow and my duvet down to have something to sleep on top of (there's no sleeping directly on the sofa itself, much too uncomfortable) and the a small, very lightweight quilt to cover my feet because I need something covered to sleep 😂 Got woken up by a builder working next door at half 8 this morning but I'll grant him this, he did me a favour. Meant I was up earlier than I have been to get the windows closed.

The steroid-abusing spider was back. I think I got it outside. I think. It was on the side of the new run (and Cam was being very helpful and trying to beg for dinner as I'm trying to get this spider to go into a long handled dustpan) and I got it in and I ran backwards outside and sort of...lobbed the dustpan. Except just the movement, I kept the dustpan in hand. Spider's not on dustpan, or on the cage, or on the floor, or still in the house so far as I can tell, but I didn't actually see it leaving said dustpan.

Not that you would, at this time of night. But could I get my heart rate back to normal plzkthnx?

...actually I hope it was the steroid-abusing spider because the world doesn't need two of those things, at all.

:yikes::yikes: that was very brave of you! I'd have gone round to the neighbours and asked them to remove it!

See, I don't mind the webs. I don't even mind the spiders if they stay a) out of sight or b) at least somewhere they're not in my way. Down the side of the fireplace and the bottom step? Fine. Right in the middle of the goblin cage where I have to literally walk past to do anything. No. No no no no no nope no. Hell no.

I don't mind the webs when their not stuck to my face. Serves me right for walking down the garden in the dark!

I walk into a web in the mornings when I have to take the rubbish to the wheelie bin. It is always down the step between the pyracantha and the bay bush. I know its there but I only remember when I walk through the web. The web is about 3 ft wide and must have taken a long time to spin.

My landing light's gone. My own fault, I left it on overnight because after yesterday's migraine I was late getting to sleep, but a) I don't have bulbs because the bulbs I did have got wrecked when the kitchen got flooded and b) I can't buy more because I can't tell what the fitting is.

The weather - it looks miserable out. The forecast isn't great for the morning but is better for the afternoon and when you try to leave the house you are left wondering what to wear!

Also, I've been researching exercises and get fit things on google. My facebook is now filled with adverts of quick fix exercises which is slightly annoying.

I am supposed to be at a 10yr anniversery BBQ for an old work place, but they picked somewhere with limited parking. I couldn’t park.
So came back home again, weeded the garden, and am hanging out with the piggies instead.
Now to decide what to eat for tea!

There is a buzzy fly tormenting me. It keeps flying round my head and then landing near me. I go to squash it and poof, its gone before I've grabbed something to whack it with!

Also, my spider plant has grown loads recently! Which is a good thing but I am a little worried of how to care for it over the colder months....

Yep, sky broadband is down here where we live too.

I eventually got to a point where I figured, if I can't even access their own site via data, then the issue probably wasn't just me. I think I got more annoyed by it constantly telling me I'd "used the wrong password too many times", because their system had been that slow and had timed out so often that it was triggering that message, I'd used the right password every time. Gits, lol.

Does “keep it clean” mean no gp poo?
I can let the pigs eat on the table or counter, but it’s rare, and I thoroughly clean afterwards Yes, they are watched). I have even raced a gp to the end of a salad (not eating anything they were germing up). I draw the line at poo covered dishes in with my dishes though. Tonight was the second time this week. Last time it was dropped into the water as I washed.

If you guys disagree with me, please say so. I just won’t be eating your scones.

Just rang my insurance company to see how much it will cost to add my son onto my car policy as he turns 17 next week and they can't even give me a quote! I have to try again on his birthday just to get an idea of cost 🤯 officially he isn't old enough to drive but why does that stop them giving me a quote? Seems ridiculous!

Driving back home towing caravan and some idiot has just overtaken us with nowhere to go in front and a car coming towards us. We have just had to do an emergency stop to let the car in otherwise we would have had the car in the side of our caravan. Luckily nothing was close behind us or else we'd have had a car in the back of the caravan too!

Why do people think they have to get in front of a caravan at all costs?

Anyone know how to take a selfie as a pair/group and not have a strangs neck pose in it?

3 year olds... like WTF?! Where did my child go and why does satan want to live here? Today she launched the handwash at me (which backfired when it bounced off me and hit her) and then had such an epic meltdown she threw her pyjamas and the shorts landed on top of the curtains!

You will all get through it! We too had Lucifer's Child in the form of Son No 3. It started when he was two and a half and finished (finally) the Christmas after he started school. We worked out that it was frustration at not being physically or mentally able to do what he wanted to do. He is also very intelligent. He is now doing a Maths degree.

Could it be attention seeking behaviour in part .... she was used to having you all to herself, now you have a new (and therefore very time consuming) baby to care for, as well as her.
It doesn't feel like it now, but it won't last for ever...

Who wants to be awake for 4.5hrs in the middle of the night?

My 16mo, apparently. 😴 Can confirm that this sentiment was not shared by the rest of the household.

We're all at what is hopefully the tail end of probable COVID and, having had some kind of virus immediately before, I'm now in week three of being ill and would quite like to be well again now, please.
