You should remind him to do it rather than you doing it instead. I feel like next time the same thing would happen.
Or put a list on the fridge and he can just focus on his bits (after explanation).

Hope you can show him the right way soon. It’s frustrating that you have to do so though.

I found a slug in the kitchen again last night.

I was literally on the toilet, finishing up to go to bed, and remembered there was washing in the machine. Cue words.
Go downstairs. Get the clothes horse up. Find something to sit on to add things to clothes horse. Why are wet t-shirts attracted to the kitchen floor?!
Get jeans over kitchen door.
Go to shove the clothes horse to where the sink is so it's not in the way. Clothes catch on everything. EVERYTHING. Have to rearrange clothes on clothes horse.
Realise I could close off the other kitchen door. Why was it open anyway? it isn't normally.
Oh yeah, Spider incident.
Hmm. Think. Check around the base of the door as I close it. Just in case.
...sneaky little slug. Doesn't want to get onto paper. It's raining. Finally get it onto paper.
Convince it to go onto the outdoor windowsill. See there's another slug there too! It'll be great friends!
Toss paper into recycling bin. Because ew.
Get back inside. Goblins want their pellets again. Because they get pellets when I go to bed and I then got distracted for a half hour.

Next time I'm just redoing the wash, seriously.

I thought that read ‘it was literally on the toilet, finishing up to go to bed’ 🤣🤣

Royal Mail were supposed to deliver me a parcel yesterday, then at 19:50 I got the notification that it had been scanned as "incorrect address return to sender" at 18:25. And I knew. I knew. Nothing was wrong with the address on that parcel. It's a place I've used regularly since I quit smoking, their labels are autofilled from what I give them because legally they can't send it elsewhere, and my details are autofilled because doing it once is enough tyvm.

So, couldn't do anything about it til this morning, called them up, and they've confirmed that yes that's how it got scanned but they don't know why because the address is right. Clearly right. So they've raised a complaint with the local office. The local office have gotta love me by this point 🤨

Then rang the store. They're sending me out a new parcel that should be with me tomorrow (Sunday post!) assuming Royal Mail don't screw it up again, but they're also going to be complaining to Royal Mail because a) that's extra effort they have to make and b) they might not be spending extra money because they have a contract with Royal Mail anyway, but you can bet they're going to point out these shenanigans raise costs anyway. Always happy to help incite mob justice, me.

Anyone know if national rail site and trainline site are the same thing? Will I get the same tickets at the end of it?

One site tells me the saving I will make with my railcard, the other doesn't... it's as clear as mud 🤣 I'm new to booking tickets on line thing and now wondering if it's worth all the hassle!

It's been a while since I've used them, but they're not the same thing, but you do still get tickets. Trainline is (I think) what I used to use when I was going to Hebden Bridge.

My daughter ordered a new fan off Amazon. It was scheduled to be delivered and then she received a message saying it had been sent back to the depot and if it didn’t arrive the next day she would have to reorder it. Well it didn’t arrive, surprise surprise. So she went to reorder it and it was £20 more! Amazon have said they can’t give her the £20 off as it’s a third party seller but have given get £10 credit for her next purchase 😏.

Where is the fan that was on the van supposedly going to be delivered 🤷🏻‍♀️

I got woken up by the smoke alarm this morning. Well, one of them, they're both downstairs. It wasn't the "EMERGENCY EMERGENCY" alarm, more the "hey pay attention" alarm. But it woke me up and then my hip started hurting before I could get back to sleep. Can't sleep when the hip's like that. And that's how I woke up at 6am on a Sunday morning.

Just found out that my vet Rachel has left! She has seen my piggies for the last 7 years and I trusted her. The rescue that I take the girls to when they are on holiday said that Rachel recommended 2 other vets. I've seen one of them but not the other. Rachel is very lovely and understands piggies. She kept them when she was training to be a vet. She was at my old Vets4Pets before I moved then she moved to my Vets4Pets that I now use not long before I did. I will miss her very much.

I hope you find a new vet you trust soon. I had to say goodbye to my favourite last year, luckily I get on well with her replacement. I did worry until I met the new vet though.

I've had to open the study door because the heat in here would suffocate me otherwise, but that means no vaping. Which is a small price to pay, and it's not like it isn't doable, I'm just grumpy this has to be a thing in September.

Edit: ten minutes later and I can breathe again. I think I might leave the door open for another hour or so tonight and just...vape in the bathroom. I feel like a naughty child trying to find somewhere "safe" to smoke all over again, lol.

Argh I've just realised I've sat and vaped with the door open for about 10 minutes. Why do I do this.

Trying to back phone photos up to laptop. On old phone was a simple plug in and within 10mins would be done. Plugged new phone in to laptop with wire, message pops up saying power surge needs more power than can provide. Unplugged everything and turned it all off as don't have the time to deal with this today. Not sure how to solve this one!

I'm in a bit of a mood, one of my cats called Marshall has a wonder every now and then and must go into the neighbours garden (Hungarians)they complained to my mum's friend who was in our garden at the time.Apparently the guy was hitting him with a broom to try and get him away.Hes always been a stressed cat cos of his past owner and how they treated him,I dont think hitting him with a broom will help 😡

Having to fork out for a new washer dryer with money earmarked for other things because ours decided to start pouring water over the floor every wash. Having a newborn in cloth nappies means the washing machine is a must
Too right, a washing machine is a must with cloth nappies. And with all the tons of baby clothes anyway...

Is the machine not reparable?

Washer dryers can be notoriously finicky. I've thought about getting one a few times at previous addresses but never bothered, too easy to break down. But then I'm not trying to dry the clothes for a family on a clothes horse so I can actually get away with it.

It was 9-10 years old as it was and has been repaired a couple of times so we went with the quick and easy option. After doing a couple of washes I believe it probably wasn't working well for some time, either that or the new machines are a good 70% more efficient 🤣

I'm thinking I might be sleeping on the sofa tonight. My sofa is not designed for sleeping on but it's 25C in the bedroom and another body adding to the heat is not going to be helpful. That or I pull and all nighter and get the new run tomorrow and get the pigs in it and then crash. Crash on the sofa anyway. Hmm.
