What made you happy today?

The last time I went near Tesco close to Christmas I ended up getting someone in trouble, although he deserved it for acting like a tosser. But it's aggro, and I have better things to do than deal with a grown man who can't deal with being asked to remove an electronic tag on a pack of batteries, lol.

I've been in the car 6 hours today! (Not what made me happy, quite the opposite lol) but I got to meet my furry nephew Rolo, who my brother got for his family in August. Unfortunately with 3 kids, 2 very young, it just wasn't a good fit and I was asked to help find him a new home...which he has hopefully found with my best friends a couple towns over to me, so we went to collect him together today! He was as good as gold, and seemed to love his new family. Even their dog!
Officially, they're fostering him for a month to make sure he settles well, but it seemed to be going well 🤣 isn't he handsome!?

Ah it was the least I could do, he's family! I do hope they keep him too, it will be lovely getting to watch him grow up 😀 they did seem absolutely smitten with him, and him with them so fingers crossed. At least he will have a lovely Christmas anyway, he was already getting spoiled (we stopped for macdonalds and he may have got a couple of chicken nuggets 😅)

It'll be my own fault if pieces are missing @piggieminder, I opened it two addresses ago and I've found a piece for a different puzzle in it already 😂 I'm going to put any wayward pieces I find into a bag, I save my puzzles anyway so I can always add it in later if I find one

I love their pieces, one of the few brands you know you're never going to get stuck with a piece in the wrong place. I tend to buy Ravensburger and Falcon/Jumbo although I've a few others here too. Well. A...yeah, a few. Definitely not a few stacks or anything. :bal: I bought a wooden puzzle from your stall in November, the type with weird shaped pieces. First one I've seen in years, and I love those lol.

Any cards not sent will now be in time for Christmas 2024.
All errands done, shopping done, old phone finally sorted out and Christmas Day dessert in the freezer.
I decided to try my hand at making an Arctic Roll.
Adapting a recipe for a diabetic as well as someone gluten & dairy intolerant means it looks nothing like the picture in the recipe book 😅
However, the 2 parts slotted together nicely and it passed the husband taste test. 😁

Well done! When children were young I had to navigate dairy and gluten free ( much more difficult 20 plus years ago) as well as 3 of us having no taste for meat. It taught me a LOT especially with baking.
