What made you happy today?

Told myself I was going to put a new Pride playlist together, but it was really just an excuse to listen to Pride-playlist worthy music and do absolutely sod all else, lol. This morning was terrible. This evening's making up for it!
 
Son No 1 sold his house today. It only went on the market on Tuesday! He saw a house he liked at the weekend and his offer was accepted on the proviso he sold his house. He took an offer on it today and the house he wants to buy has now been taken off the market. Son No 1 has been looking for another house for a while. It's nice for him to have a house he's chosen. We sold him the house he is in atm after finally evicting our nightmare tenant who left the house a disgusting stinking hovel (literally - it took 6 professional cleaners 7 hours to sanitise the place).

A friend came over yesterday and when he saw the piggy cage he said “wow that’s a huge cage”. That made me feel really happy.

Also I got this picture. It just makes me smile. Think I will hang it in the piggy room.

We are back on line! Our internet went down on Monday evening. We've had no internet or phone (stupid idea putting landlines on the same system as the internet). We have been unable to contact anyone for a few days as my mobile credit ran out and I couldn't top it up with no internet. I couldn't pay the bills that were due or check my bank account. All my neighbours were off too so we couldn't have asked them to help of we needed it. With no TV we've played a lot of scrabble and I read 5 books. Makes a mockery of the bid to make this a cashless society, I don't think the infrastructure in this country is ready for that!

My hay order that didn't get delivered on Tuesday as it should have been has turned up today. I knew if I went to P@H and bought a bag of their dust as an emergency stop gap it would turn up!

My husband's bank card stopped working last week and I promptly lost mine somewhere between a till and wrestling our toddler into the car, and boy did things get sticky quickly! Definitely not ready for cashless...

Don't judge me for using p&h "dust". I have a tiny flat half of which is taken up by the beastie boys palace, that they are only in at night 🙄. I don't have space for hay boxes or bales. If I had known then what I do now I think I would have chosen to have..... female guinea pigs, so I could have more than two!😂

Sorry! It's not always dust but this bag is. It's been cut up very small. If I have to buy the hay from a shop I prefer the one The Range sells or B&M but both those places were sold out yesterday. I don't have much room for storage either but I get the bags from Natures Own after I was banned from putting it in my partners workshop. The sealed bags fit on top of the wardrobe, under the bed and in the cupboard under the stairs. I get through at least a bag a week with 6 piggies though

Not sure you would want these boys they are all mad, refuse to live with cage mates for more than 5 minutes and demand to be fed every time one of us moves. It's noisy round here!
 
Bought some boots. Slightly different to my usual sort of ankle boots as they come sort of mid calf. They are big enough at the top to not squash my fat legs but I think they might make my calves look bigger anyway? Oh well. They are my new accessory!

I find boot shopping (as well as trousers/bras) the worst because I'm only a small shoe size but have fat legs. Nightmare!
 
I’ve had the loveliest couple of days. @Merab's Slave was my house guest yesterday and we went to set up the hall last night ready for the fair today. Today we had the Christmas Fair. Such a joyous event. So well attended in the local area & also by forum members from far & wide. Lovely day spent chatting to everyone, and I even got to stroke some gorgeous dogs and pups. I’ve really had a lovely couple of days.
 
I'd've mentioned this last night but apparently the excitement of yesterday got to me and I fell asleep rather early, lol. Back in the Summer, when the weather was grossly warm and my Coke addiction was at its height, I kept filling my bottle/can recycling bin uncomfortably full, so I asked the council for a larger bin (if I was in a flat I'd be stuck with the small one but houses can have bigger ones!). But the bin never turned up and I stopped drinking so much Coke because the weather was cooler, so I shrugged and said nothing.

And then what do I spy when I get home? Yeah! They've dropped my new bin off AND removed the old one - which they'd do anyway, but they took all the cans and bottles already in it, so there's that.

Excited over a new bin. Story of my life. :))
 
Finally popped into the brewery shop I've been driving past for six months every nursery drop off and pick up. Can't say where it is because it'll totally give away our location (and nursery!) but I've picked up a couple of seasonal beers to enjoy during our child-free night this weekend 😊
