That’s great! Congrats your year 5 - would that be P4 in N Ireland then? 7/8 yo?I got a job at a school closer to home…very close to home! It’s a year contract but that’s okay. Loved the school and everyone (including my class) seemed really lovely so I’m happy going up as I’ll be in year 5.
9-10yo I seem to be going up in 2s! I was year 1 (5-6) then year 3 (7-8)!That’s great! Congrats your year 5 - would that be P4 in N Ireland then? 7/8 yo?
Today I am happy because I discovered crispy toast squares in the air fryer.
Butter and cut into squares. Then pop in the air fryer. Around 7-10 minutes at 160c, depending how crisp/brown you want it. You could even do croutons that way, although they’re supposed to be made of stale bread…I can’t keep bread that’s gone staleHow do you do that then?
Me neither!I can’t keep bread that’s gone stale
AND a dry day here in Belfast!
I don't think they were impressed by the portion sizes
I can just see the expressions on their faces now "You have got to be kidding me."
What a perfect dayI've had a lovely day today. My family came over for a barbecue at lunchtime. My niece helped me to pick the rest of the plums of the plum tree (the last bucketful I have to deal with - yay!) and she gave Thea her veggie dinner. After they had gone my OH and I went on a 10 mile bike ride around Poole Harbour and through Poole Park and it was lovely.
Hope you had lots of good plums this year!I've had a lovely day today. My family came over for a barbecue at lunchtime. The plum tree is only a dwarf. This year I have had at least 2 bucketfuls and I've given away loads to friends and family. Not as many as 2 years ago when it was the Magic Porridge Pot Plum Tree. I have been watering it every day since it had the blossom appear and it didn't drop many in the June Drop so the plums have been lovely and plump just like Victoria Plums should be.Hope you had lots of good plums this year!
You can't do everything. Clearly Squeaks came first.I rather neglected my fruit trees etc in late July/early august, due to trying to nurse Squeaks back to health, and missed the start of the plum season. Quite a few plums have fallen or been got at by wasps as a result, and a lot of the rest have got brown rot - owing to the wet weather according to the RHS. I've picked a small tub each of plums and greengages, but the rest are out of reach until I can get my OH to hold a ladder for me.
Of course, the piggies always come first! (much to OH's chagrin on occasion )You can't do everything. Clearly Squeaks came first.
I hope you can find time to rescue the rest of the plums and greengages.
