What made you happy today?

I found a series based on books by my favourite author! 😆 Although the main character isn’t how I expected him to look, I’m already sniggering! 😂 I’m going to try not to binge watch. Will try and see if I can download to watch at a later date.

I’ve got a lot to be happy about today:

Firstly Pepper and Pebble have moved out of the garage and are living inside!

Secondly I visited my son who moved out recently and Chester played with their dog Ruby.

Thirdly I managed to not burn the braised red cabbage I’m cooking. It was close but salvageable 🤣

Got back from a week away yesterday to discover the garden that was not growing well this year had had a spurt! Just picked 4 marrows, 15 courgettes, tons of rhubarb, peas and beans. The neighbours have little parcels on their door steps which they will find when they come home from work. I'm about to put 2 marrows in to drain so I can make chutney tomorrow

I saw Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square on Saturday. On Sunday I had tea and cake outside a lovely little tea shop in Windsor and walked half (ish) of the long walk outside of Windsor Castle.

So many things seen, so many new places to see/revisit now! What a lovely weekend!

This may be 2 days late but still it makes me happy. I had a lovely day on Saturday. I went to London with Son No 1 and his girlfriend, met at Son No 2's place and Son No 3 came down from Milton Keynes and met us in the Pub for lunch. After lunch the men went and did their thing (climbed over the roof at the O2 and went on the Cable Car) while girlfriend and I went around the V&A which I have always wanted to do and saw amazing fashion, gold trinket boxes, intricate mosiac tables and a crushed Silver Band (why?) and then went to Liberty's. We all met up in Carnaby Street for a meal a drinks in the evening. And I also met Son No 2's girlfriend who is really lovely. A good day was had by all. It was such a wonderful day I wouldn't mind repeating it.

I got a job at a school closer to home…very close to home! It’s a year contract but that’s okay. Loved the school and everyone (including my class) seemed really lovely so I’m happy 😁 going up as I’ll be in year 5.

Congratulations! That is absolutely fantastic news
