What made you happy today?

Finally ordered a new memory card for my camera. Went for sandisk ultra 32gb. Has same speed/class on as current one so hoping it does the job. It should be here midweek so will be able to test out at the weekend!
 
Finding out I'm being made redundant on the 20th July. Sounds crazy but I'm about ready for a break. I'll get to spend the summer holidays with my son, go on lovely walks with our new pup and be able to give the girls more floor time than I can currently.

Sounds an odd thing to be happy about, but if you're ready for a break...I hope they are giving you a decent payoff - more dosh=more goodies for the piggies !

I'll get a decent chunk. I haven't been happy there for a good while so I think that's why I'm happy about it. I'd never willingly leave but there's nothing I can do about this so I'm taking all the positives and they make me happier than the job, so......

Oh yeah, the girls are spoilt rotten, they'll never go without 😂
 
I keep telling my manager I'm holding on for my redundancy pay. I've been there 15 years, been "at risk" twice, come to end of funding streams twice and then recommissioning should have had me redundant earlier this year 🤣 now I have at least a year and a half to wait
 
I've just booked a train ticket from Poole to Swanwick. I've always wanted to go through the New Forest on the train and now I will be. I can walk round to the OH's office. We are off to Fontwell races and staying at a hotel virtually on the Race Course. It's a good few years since I went to watch horse racing.

This morning I spotted a little white butterfly in distress, it was fluttering madly but unable to fly away. On closer inspection one of its legs was stuck to a blade of grass by some bird poop! Its wings looked a little battered but when I released it was able to fly away, leaving me with that warm fuzzy feeling.

My husband just rang me asking if I want some Karin Slaughter books that are going for 50p in their staff shop. I’m so happy that he remembers she is one of my favourite authors. I do love him 😁😍
