What made you happy today?

We've all been super sad this week with the death of our doggo on my dad's 1 year anniversary.

So we ditched work and school, jumped in the car at 6am and headed to our favourite place in the Lakes. If anyone hasn't visited Eskdale, I'd highly recommend it.
How lovely, I hope you have/had a lovely day x

It's been lovely. Just had an early tea and we're about to hit the road for the 3 hour drive home. Just had my mum on the phone to say she's been round and spot cleaned the girls, topped up the hay and changed the ice box cooler thing 😂 she also wanted to know "you sure I can't give them a bit of veg Jen, they look awful put out" haha. No mother!

Even piggie grandparents fall victim to the trance of an adorable begging piggy :inn:

It’s the dumbest thing in the world, but I emptied a catheter.
The neighbors are two seniors in their eighties, one a double amputee, and their special needs daughter. The daughter has been in the hospital, and often nearly died, for about six months. She is incredibly weak. She can barely help get herself into a wheelchair right now. I was helping out today, and the bag was full. Mom had called, and asked yesterday if I could empty it since she didn’t know how. So, last night I watched videos covering each type, and how to do all the care. It was easy, but Mom and Dad didn’t know how, and I learned a new skill. 👩‍⚕️

How kind of you to do that

I finally got to download a certificate today following completion of a course I started in February.
I’d found it somewhat mind blowing and after each part of the course there was homework to complete and a multiple choice assessment to complete. It was a lot of hard work and to be honest I thought about giving up several times, but I’m a starter-finisher so I stuck it out. Eventually I completed the whole course and last night had a zoom call with the tutor to sign it off.
Such a sense of relief. And a big smile today.

Congratulations on a job well done

It's been a really slow start this year as most of the veg plants were sulking because of the cold nights, but now it's warmed up they've all got going properly and I've just picked some lovely peas and beans for our sunday lunch, plus the weird looking thing is a Dragon egg cucumber, first time growing them, there's lots more on the plants so I hope they taste nice

Last night was Jessica's first night away from home with neither mummy nor daddy! She stayed at Nannas house so we made the most of it and went for a date night (something we thought wouldn't happen at all because of how ill I have been). Extra happy that I was finally well enough to get back to a hairdresser on Friday so felt mostly human again 🤣

This morning I got to stay in bed til gone 8am too 🤣🤣🤣

Congratulations on the lie in :D
Glad you had such a lovely time.
Hope Jessica enjoyed her night at Nanna’s.

When is the baby due?
Lie ins will become a distant memory when there’s 2 !

Lie in's were very much a distant memory already 🤣 Baby is due end of July so not long now eeks!

I’m so happy for you that you got a chance for a date night and a lie in @Lady Kelly definitely try and grab as many of these moments as you can. That relationship is just as important as the one with your child(ren). Excited for you for July 😊
