What made you happy today?

Packing for an overnight stay at my parents' house tomorrow. I'm not saying I'm tired and trying to do too many things at once, but my husband just found a bag with some knickers in that I'd misplaced earlier... in the fridge.:crazy: (Clean, I hasten to add!)

Made me chuckle and thought I'd share as I'm sure a few of need a laugh today.

I put teabags in the fridge once, like a pack of them. Closed the fridge door, took two steps away, realised what I'd done, retrieved them from the fridge. Then stared at them.
I don't drink tea. Why would I buy teabags if I don't drink tea?!

As you get older you do this sort of thing more often. In this house it's a daily occurrence, sometimes we spend more time looking for things we've lost than doing anything useful.

Two neighbors know nutty things are happening here lately. They got together, and found a way to make sure I was alright. One came over, and the other called, then had my house mate’s daughter go over there when I couldn’t escape. That way she could check on the daughter at least. It’s nice to know I have people around here that care.

I've been a bit worried about shopping lately, since I tore the muscles and tendons in my arm carrying shopping it's become more of a problem. The CAZ in Bristol means it adds £9 to the shopping bill and hassle if I get my partner to take me in the car. Home delivery is brilliant but sometimes I need to see what I'm buying and you can't always get a delivery when you need it.
Yesterday I had an appointment in a small town where we hadn't been before, it's lovely, lots of small shops and 2 supermarkets, 20 minutes drive from where we live. It's a very easy drive with lots of free parking, pleasant, clean surroundings with nice friendly people. Perfect for a once a month shop/trip out, every time I've thought of it today it's made me happy. I'd forgotten nice places like this still existed!

I'm very excited that my cub scout den is going to do a service project next week for their school. We are going to make sensory bins and donate fidgets, bubbles, and playdough. We are learning about different disabilities (visible ones and non-visible ones) and how to be more aware and caring for those individuals.

I thought something might be up with the Goblins, with Cam being far less vocal than usual. Then I went downstairs to put a pasty in the microwave and grabbed them some celery at the same time. I went into the living room to grab the tray I use for their veggies and I can hear him, screaming over the noise of the microwave.

My microwave is loud. Lad's got some lungs on him.

I sat with my mum who has dementia today while my dad went shopping. We had a lovely time together and I managed to take her out in the wheelchair for some fresh air. She told me I was “Bloody Brill” for taking her out. Bless her 🥰

We’ve just booked an adventure for next year.
We’re off to New Zealand doing a tour and ending with a week staying with my sister.
She lives in Christchurch and we haven’t seen each other in person for over 5 years.

Wow you’ll have a wonderful time

Today I have actually done at activity with Jessica. We did some crafting involving painting, cutting and sticking 🙂 I even managed to sit in a chair for the best part of an hour! I have also skipped one dose of the ibuprofen without too many repercussions which is awesome as that is the riskiest of the medications the GP has me on

Glad your back is beginning to feel better

One of my patients at work was discharged home. (Rabbit who had major abdominal surgery) so pleased he made it and can go home to his family who clearly loved him very much. Makes it all worthwhile❤️
