What made you happy today?

It's bushfire season where I live, and as I'm typing I can see a huge cloud of greyish-orange smoke on the horizon in front of our house! 🔥
It's too far away to be a danger, so it's pretty amazing to look at.
Hoping, the bushfires this year don't get too serious!

Gave Lexi and Thea cuddle time today and they both ended up as puddle piggies. Lexi stopped vibrating as she realised she was quite enjoying it. We were watching Traffic Cops and she let it be known in no uncertain terms that she didn't like the sound of the sirens! This is the first ever time since I adopted the girlies 16 months ago that Lexi has stopped vibrating when having a cuddle. She was so terrified when I first adopted her that she didn't even have the freeze response it was the "how can I get out of here?" response and I had to calm her down by putting her in my big cardy. Today she felt confident and happy enough having a cuddle just on a blanket.

I discovered early on that Thea is a little cuddle monster and chats away quite happily when she has cuddle time.

My Tesco delivery was here an hour early. The guy apologised for the timing but that I was his last delivery of the night so if I could take it early, he could go home early. I can't argue with that, lol. Not that I mind, the slot I got was the earliest one available or I'd've taken an earlier one.

Edit: I should point out he knew this, apparently there's something marked on the order to say if it's been a last minute pack, which it is when you order it about 8 hours before it turns up. I really can't blame him.

Just arranged to meet a friend in Leeds a week Monday when go to Yorkshire.
We’re meeting at the Hotel Chocolat flagship store for coffee, hot chocolate or whatever anyone wants then we’ll find somewhere for lunch.
Looking forward to catching up.

Now to book a table at our favourite Thai restaurant for our wedding anniversary.

Well since the cuddle time breakthrough with Lexi on Monday. She now enjoys a cuddle. Even Daddy Slave is allowed to give her a head stroke. No more vibrating during cuddle time anymore from The Very Lovely Lexi. The only bit she's not keen on is being picked up to begin with and when she knows she's going back home, I have to hold her quite tightly as she's desperate to be back in either the hutch or the run.

Here, the sun is out and I've opened my bedroom window. There is a lovely breeze coming through. I can almost taste spring, flowers, gardening, sunglasses and t-shirts, little trips here and there!

Just been sorting out my change from my shopping trip yesterday. Found a 50p, the Queens head on on one side and the other has a 70 and dates 1952-2022. It must be from the jubilee celebrations last year. Only noticed it because was so shiny so such a surprise finding in my change.

Over 3 years ago I injured my back, it's been a problem on and off ever since. For months now I haven't been able to stand up straight and it's really been getting me down.

I got up a few hours ago to go do something, heard a horrible crunch from the base of my spine and hit the floor as my legs went from under me..

Hopped back up and it seems the disc has popped back to where its meant to be! I can stand straight, feel taller, happier than I have in months and glad to finally know what the issue was, so if it happens again I can actually get it sorted. Not sure how long it'll last but for now, I'm enjoying it 😅

Great news 🎉

Packing for an overnight stay at my parents' house tomorrow. I'm not saying I'm tired and trying to do too many things at once, but my husband just found a bag with some knickers in that I'd misplaced earlier... in the fridge.:crazy: (Clean, I hasten to add!)

Made me chuckle and thought I'd share as I'm sure a few of need a laugh today.
