Salisbury Meet - 13 January 2024

I'll bring Doris, Bert, Mavis, Audrey and Little Agnes and a new piggy that @teddymouse will be bringing along who at the moment is nameless. This new piggy is a girly piggy so I'll have to think of an old fashioned name to go with the others. Atm I'm thinking either Ethel or Gladys.
 
Well guys, in the end I decided mainly due to current difficult family circumstances/issues to let Biscuit go to a lovely family with other guinea pigs. Mandy's Rescue here locally found them and she went more or less straight to them as I didn't want her to lose that opportunity. It was a very difficult decision for me to let her go and I was struggling with this right until the last moment :( I think about her a lot. I haven't ruled out having rescues again in the future but not for a while and when I am in a better situation. I was looking forward to meeting you all in Salisbury and still might come if that's ok?
 
Of course you can come! Everyone is welcome. Its hard giving up a guinea pig for adoption. Mandy's has a very good reputation locally and Biscuit will have gone to a lovely home.

I’m sure Biscuit has gone to a lovely new home with lots of companionship, it’s a brave and selfless act I can imagine how you must feel :hug:

If you do decide to take the plunge - and the train - I’m happy to meet you either in Swindon or Salisbury. I can’t remember where the Bristol trains go to directly
 
Thank you. I think the Portsmouth Harbour trains go to Salisbury. I'm so annoyed with myself that I lost my confidence. I'm managing to come back from Wales at the moment and coping with the change in Newport but I panic going, it's really odd.

Bag a table for us then Crystella. We usually have the large one to the left of the bar. Last year it was already taken (the cheek!). I'm hoping to get there a bit before midday so if it's available I'll bag it! I'll look for you first obviously.

I'm changing trains in Bristol so would be happy to meet up with you if you wanted company. I would also be happy to see you onto the return train from Salisbury to Bristol (I'm not heading home until Sunday). 😀

That's really kind of you. I don't think I'm ready to do it yet but if I feel I can I will let you know. It's going into Temple Meads I have a problem with. I don't know why other than it's going underground but I've never had a problem with London Underground.

I've got to change at Bristol temple meads this time.I usually have to go on the underground which I'm not a big fan of.

When took Leanne on the ghost meeting, lol, we had a job to get a table,managed in the end to get one for 6. Might be better after the new year rush.
