Salisbury Meet - 13 January 2024

I have realised that the panto is the weekend before this (somehow i got the date wrong in my diary) so i may be able to join you all. I have set-up an alert for when advance rail tickets go on sale and i will see if i can find some reasonably priced accommodation.

That's great news Yvonne. The Wetherspoons is a hotel too.

Um .... How about you need more jars for your jam making? I've kept the two jam jars from the absolutely scrumdidlyumptious greengage jam from the Birmingham meet a good while back.
😄 Jam jars may be quite expensive, but I don't think I can quite justify the cost of the train ticket (or petrol) for a handful of them  :D
If you can, save them for the next Birmingham meet - whenever that might be - and have a little jaunt up this way in your caravan again.
I'm afraid I didn't make any greengage or plum jam at all this year. The greengage trees didn't produce much fruit in the end - I think they may be on their way out - and by the time I was no longer worrying about Squeaks, the bad weather had made most of the plums succumb to brown rot. I did make some gooseberry jam in June, but it didn't set very well 🙄 So not a good jam year - better luck in 2024 🤞🙏

Fruit trees usually have a good year then a bad year. I'll keep the jars for you.

I will try to make it - I have a few bits like snugglesafes that are too heavy to post but I would love forum piggies to benefit from now we are pigless. There are many choices of plush pigs I can borrow from my daughter to bring to the party!

I hope you can make it.
I’m picking @weepweeps up as she’s in Swindon and I’m staying with my brother in RWB for the weekend.
I can take 3 passengers and I don’t think you are too far from Swindon so if you want to book a place in my hay strewn ’ taxi ‘ you are very welcome, as is anyone else in that vicinity.

@Minnou, Can you make it to Salisbury on 13 Jan? As you have your location as UK, its a bit difficult to tell if you can make it or not. If you can you would be most welcome.
I don't drive and that's a good 6hr car journey for me. And I think I'm pet/house sitting that week anyway. Sorry. =(
