Long story she's back Tuesday for op to remove it Vet was not sure is a abcess as so big and needs test etc.
Was her husband who took a sample and said was a abcess
I'm not happy as expected as it to be gone today as I was led to belive
Sheryl says hope it is a abcess but wanted more time . . The cost Well I voiced my feelings about that. .
Florence is hope and fine. Her lump is big tho

Worry. I'm gutted and I'm bit shock she's only 2 and half

Sending you hugs David. I know with your piggy health history it's easy to think the worse but try not to over think this and worry yourself to bits before she has the op. Peanut had a lump the same size in the same place last year. I opted for removal of the whole capsule because whatever it was it needed to be gone, it was an abcess. Peanut was fine and is still fine, aged 5.5 years.

Sorry to hear this Dave but to be honest nearly all abscesses usually need surgery sooner or later, to remove them or open them fully- I was quite surprised they only gave antibiotics on your last visit... paws crossed and healing wheeks for Florence and hugs for you (and the dent in your wallet as well as your heart these poorly piggies cause!) X

Thank you. I will calm but I seem to have waisted 2 weeks if now it full op etc.

So sorry things have not gone to plan, hopefully it will all be sorted for you on tuesday. I once had a piggy who developed a huuge abscess under her throat, so I don't think that it's large size means its not necessarily likely to be an abscess in Florence's case. In the case of my pig the abscess had spread around other structures in her neck such as her thyroids so the planned removal of the whole capsule turned out not to be an option. Instead the vet had to open it up (under anaesthetic), clean it all out and stitch in a penrose drain and put her on zythromax. She made a full and speedy recovery so I think there is every chance that Florence will make a full recovery too, whatever it turns out to be. Sending healing vibes to Florence

So sorry everything has not gone to plan. My heart goes out to you, I know what it's like to worry over a piggy with a lump.
Really hope it is all sorted on Tuesday and little Florence is feeling better soon.xx

Thank you I needed to hear that as I feel bit dazzled

I think if you’re considering surgery and she’s in no danger then it’s always better to plan it properly and it’s not long til Tuesday. Sending Florence healing vibes for Tuesday.
