Moses and Miriam

I’m sure that there was a good reason why the nice big 3 way tunnel was scrunched up in the corner to make it a simple corner tunnel !

Moses is getting to be a big boy - 1184g today.
Miriam is only a few grams lighter.
I’m fairly sure they produce their weight in poops every day.

I suspect that they were never socialised by their previous owners before being dumped in the woods.
They’ve had a traumatic start and were very lucky to fall into the hands of The Potteries GP Rescue
It could take a very long time before they’re more human friendly, but they’re very happy together, they have healthy appetites and in terms of poop production would win gold, silver and bronze at piggy olympics 😊

They are so cute 🥰

Dear Miss Bramble,
We have been told that you can help us please.
We are not happy.
We have a lovely big cage but are we in it today ?
No we’re not!
Instead we’re confined to our basket and have bee moved to a different room.

Our slave says it’s because new windows are being installed and she’s protecting us from the cold and the noise.
Our cage isn’t near the window and we think that confinement in a basket is no way to treat us.

Can you help us.

Moses & Miriam

Dear Moses and Miriam

You are correct. Being confined to a basket is no way to treat you both. If your Slave wanted to protect you from the cold and the noise of windows being replaced, she should have moved your cage away from the cold and the noise and you along with it, not just plonked you both unceremoniously in a basket with a bit of hay!

When you eventually do go back in your cage, make sure she knows you are very happy to be back home. Play trains with each other and run zoomies around your cage as fast as you can one behind the other. Also if you have never popcorned before then try it, it's fun! It also shows your Slave that you are very happy. I have also sent you a wheekmail about other things you can do to make sure your Slave knows that you are very unhappy to have been treated in such a way. I don't want to publish it here cos your Slave will know what to expect and we can't have that can we?

Dear Moses and Miriam,
We're sorry to hear about the disgraceful behaviour of your slave. Try to endure and look on the bright side.....
That basket prison looks very tasty and chewable!
Dignified Sir George and Mischievous Master Boris
P.S. Master Boris would definitely chew it.

Thank you for your support Miss Bramble and Sir George and Master Boris.
We like being part of the forum even though we’re very quiet and nervous piggies.
Moses and Miriam
What is it they say about the quiet ones? 😉
I'm sure once you've settled down, in no time at all you'll be joining in with all the other piggies in their fun or slave-training activities! I was going to say, and letting it all hang out, but as Moses has visited the Plum Fairy 🍒 perhaps there'll be no sneaking onto "Boars Galore" for him...

First I’ll eat these veggies then the ones the other side of the tunnel.

Miriam has discovered that she can talk to me 😊
It’s a very quiet wheek but a definite wheek when I brought their breakfast leaves. She even took it from my hand.

Brave lady - such a lovely step when they will take veggies from you

We were so excited today. Our slave gave us a whole carrot to share.
She said it was a very special guinea pig carrot

We hope you enjoyed your giant carrot, we are very jealous. We only get a peeling once in a while if the hoomans feel like sharing.

Moses and Miriam are not happy with me today.
Not only did I force them out the cage, weigh them and cuddle them to do a health check, but I had the temerity to turn all the remaining Chantonnay carrots into soup 😅

Talking of carrots - the carrot cottage is in danger of toppling over due to piggy remodelling work.

Another big step forward.
Yesterday there was wheeking as I approached their room with the lunchtime herbs.
Miriam has definitely found her voice now.
Today the cage was cleaned out, when done she bounced around the cage, popcorning and wheeking - it was a joy to see her .
Moses continues to rumble strut happily- he has an amazing range of purring and rumbling sounds.
Given their rotten start they’ve come a long way since I adopted them at the beginning of September
