It never rains........

Dear Ginger Pig

I hear that you are now eating for yourself after your operation. How does your Slave celebrate this? Does she give you lots of tasty treats and praise? No she does not. Instead she shoves a syringe in your mouth full of revolting yukky paste! I know you have to have this disgusting stuff while you aren't eating to help in your recovery, but once you are eating why do you still need it? Hey?

Good boy for trying to escape. Continue on your escape mission every time your Slave approaches you and do your utmost not to be caught. Make sure you eat enough for yourself that when it comes to weigh time, your weight hasn't gone down so then you won't have to endure the daily torture of being force fed.

Yours wishing you a speedy recovery

Wonderful news Ginger pig
Keep on eating and eating and eating
Keep The only and only Thea’s advice in mind ….it’s win win Ginger pig 🥰

Great news.
Glad Ginger Pig is doing so well.

Gabapentin can make you feel very wobbly.
I was given it once and decided I’d rather endure the pain of neuralgia than take a second tablet!

As someone who does have to take it regularly, :agr: It's not the most pleasant medication out there. Also it can make me a little ratty, I'd guess it can do similar to a guinea pig.

Dear Thea

I really don't like the syringe feed even though my slave says their is a little carrot mush mixed in. I was a bit naughty today and nipped my slave and then peed on her to prove my bits are working ok. Hopefully that will convince her I don't need the yucky mush.

Slave said some bad words I can't repeat for your delicate ears and then put me back with Dora. Dora is a bit odd as she likes the mush and licked the dish clean.🤢

I'm now wheeking very loudly as I would like some fresh grass from the garden. It's the least I deserve after putting up with all the yucky mush and the medicine.

Thank you for all your advice.

Ginger Pig x

Dear Ginger Pig

I'm pleased you're showing your Slave that you're better by weeing all over her and nipping her.

All the past residents of Betsy Towers are like Dora they loved the mush and dashed to the bowl for the leftovers and wolfed it all down as quickly as they could. Lexi and I don't like it either.

Here's hoping you got your fresh grass.

Yours hoping the syringe feeding trauma is now over

Dear Ginger Pig,
We’re glad you’re feeling better and we approve of you seeing over your slave.
We love the mush, especially if it’s aniseed flavour, so you could always sneak yours in our direction.
Love from Micah, Naomi and Ruth
Weeing not seeing !

Dear Ginger Pig. I don’t blame you for weeing on your slave. Syringe feeding you that horrid mush and telling you it’s for your own good. I’m sorry that you have such a dim slave. I’ve got the same issue with mine. They just don’t get the message. I have found turning my back on her and teeth chattering at her when she appears with the syringe makes me feel happier. Sadly it hasn’t put her off yet. But I’m hoping she will give it up as a lost cause. We boars need to stick together. Love Boris.

Post op check-up for Ginger Pig this afternoon. Fingers crossed that all is healing well.

He is looking a little thin and has not yet regained any of the weight he lost while we were away. I have to be careful with his diet as it has to be low calcium but he is now getting big piles of fresh grass from the garden every day. Hopefully, he will regain some weight over time.

Don’t worry, they take ages to put lost weight back on but he’ll do so in time. Hope it goes really well today for Ginger Pig x

I think because he is hairless it looks worse as i can see the bones in his spine. He weighs 840g which is 120g less than a month ago. He is eating well but i have stopped the syringe feeding as he hated it and it had become a battle of wills. I'm hoping he will regain the weight once it is warm enough for them to spend sometime out on the lawn.

Good luck Ginger pig. Hope that the vet is pleased with his progress. Weight gain takes ages in my experience. Weight stabilisation is the first step and if he’s managing that and hating the syringe then I think in your shoes I would also stop the syringe and see how he goes. It’s such a fine line between wanting to help them and stressing them out.

Oh Yvonne, I’m so sorry you’re going through so much with your gang at the moment, but so pleased Ginger Pig has done so well bless him
My RB Rupert (on my avatar) had exactly the same thing, his stone was a similar size and had to have an emergency op and a cut in his urethra to get it out as he couldn’t pee at all! He did really well with his recovery and healed quickly, he was an older boy too, hoping the same for lovely Ginger ❤️
Sending loads of healing vibes to the gorgeous lad and big hugs for you both, hope the vets goes well xx

It's good to hear that your piggy recovered well from the same op. I halved Ginger's dose of Gabapentin on Monday (so that he is on the same dose as Peggy who also has arthritis) and he was much brighter the next day. I will mention it to the vet today. He was sleeping all the time and was just a bit out of it. Zombie piggy is not a good look. 😂

Aah poor Ginger, I’m glad he’s not a zombie pig now and feeling a bit brighter bless him! Sure the dose is doing the trick if he’s got his appetite anyway :) Hope he starts gaining those grams back now too now he’s feeling a bit better! :hug:xx

Back from the vet appointment. Unfortunately, Ginger Pig has a bit of infection in his wound. :( So we have a week of a different antibiotic and i'm not sure how to tell poor Ginger this but i have to clean his penis twice a day with hibiscrub. 🙀

Please keep this quiet as i don't want The One and Only Thea to find out or i will be in serious trouble with the GPU.

Thea says she is still in deep mourning after losing Lexi 4 days ago so you won't be in trouble with the GPU. However, GPFANS @Viennese Furbabies have offered to provide emergency cover while Thea is on bereavement leave. You have been warned!
