Eriathwens piggies

😂😂😂 I feel bad that I never even noticed it was sticking out! Poor boy, he will get a complex that it's small and unnoticeable 🤣

So technically, @fluffysal has done Dylan a good turn, boosting his confidence that his manhood is indeed big enough to be noticed in a photo 🤣
It is indeed big enough to be noticed! I spend far too much time looking for these things what with the (not so) little problem that Mischievous Master Boris has with his gentleman underpig parts being far too obvious in the majority of his pigtures. 😊

Todays been fun.. ive been up all night being sick, hoping from stress and not the chinese I had for dinner 😅 I noticed yesterday that the piece of suture material hanging out the bottom of Biscuits incision that I'd been keeping an eye on was way longer all of a sudden and there was a small area opening back up in the middle.. planned to call for an appointment with a nurse to have her checked over in the morning before I got sick.

Anyway luckily I felt a little bit better later in the day, because I weighed her and realised it had dropped pretty drastically since I'd last weighed her (shes down 120g!) Managed to get an appointment with the vet instead for her.. of course exactly what you want after a night of throwing up is having several abscesses squeezed out under your nose for what felt like a good 20 minutes 😅 she's having a pretty bad reaction to her sutures 🤢 so I get to clean that twice a day for a couple weeks. Luckily they'd managed to get hold of a sulfatrim alternative too which she's got for 14 days.

Fingers crossed that does the trick, otherwise she's in a bit of trouble. Luckily she loves the antibiotics, they're very strongly banana flavoured.
But she's fine in herself otherwise if a little quiet, nobody got vomited on, so I guess it could've been worse 😅

Oh dear sorry about your sickness situation 😢 Get well soon Biscuit and keep appreciating your banana-y antibiotics!

Really hope biscuit will be ok with your brilliant care.Make sure you look after yourself too though,I know what it's like with stress from these poorly pets xx

Thankyou all 🥰 I've been fine for the last few hours, eaten and still feel not too bad, just a bit fragile from not getting any sleep. Fingers crossed that's the end of that! Biscuit has been running around excited for her veggies and pellets which is nice to see, so she can't be feeling that bad after all the squeezing.

Biscuits abscess squeezing was very uneventful this morning, she behaved herself and there really wasn't a huge amount compared to yesterday, mostly blood, she is already a little heavier too. Not a lot, but 20g in the right direction instead of continuing to lose, is no bad thing. I'll probably take her along to Mabels appointment next week just to make sure there's genuinely not much left in there and not that I'm being useless at squeezing it out.. I am trying to be mindful of how easily she bruises, but also that all that pus does need to come out too 😅

Forrest and Tilly have been dealing with soke soft poops but I think we're finally on top of that. They're looking a bit rough this morning and in need of a bath 🤣 but otherwise OK. Amazing what a mess you can make with fibreplex 🤦‍♀️

Great job.
Squeezing pus out is not much fun.
Hope every pig is feeling better soon.x

Thankyou, It's definitely not the nicest thing I've ever done, especially when you're squeezing one hole and its coming out one further down instead 🤢 but she doesn't seem to mind. It at least didn't smell like it did yesterday, I could smell it from the carrier on the floor as I was paying, poor mite. She's been quite energetic today so hopefully the antibiotics are making her feel loads better.

So unfortunately in the last few days I've found more lumps on Mabel 😔 she's got her appointment next week which was originally to check the lumps on her ribs which seem larger and more numerous, and to see if her heart and lungs were doing ok. Since then she's lost a lot of muscle mass, although the scales don't show much weight loss which makes me wonder if something is growing somewhere.. a few days ago I found a lump under her right nipple, and last night there's a lot of swelling/a lump under her left armpit.

Luckily she's her usual self and quite happy, but knowing already that she probably has cancer/a tumour somewhere, it's not exactly what you want to find, bless her.

Miss Mabel is booked in for xrays, bloodwork and god knows what else towards the end of Feb, hopefully we can find something we can treat.. I considered just leaving things as she's well in herself otherwise but losing weight and hair, getting lumpy, I'm tired of losing my pigs and not being able to do anything about it, so fingers crossed.

I hope you find out what is causing Miss Mabel’s symptoms. Good luck.

Thankyou, I'm not sure what I'm hoping they find but my vet mentioned the possibility of cushings, there's going to be cancer somewhere..there's no real getting away from it I think but at least if we know, we have the information to keep her more comfortable instead of relying on guesswork and trying to help symptoms as they appear, I guess.

Iris has the right idea..wish I could stay in bed today, its been a long week.

Little Biscuit was at the vets today to check out her eyes which keep streaming, doesn't seem to be anything concerning, hopefully when she's not dealing with an infection things will improve for her, she had her belly clipped again and there wasn't much pus at all. It's going in the right direction, fingers crossed but I can still call up for a change of antibiotics if it gets worse.

While I was there I had to book a load of other appointments for the week after next 🫠 Silvers left eye is deteriorating in the same way Forrests right eye did, so I just want to make sure thats OK and not about to rupture, and both need their teeth doing again.

Pippins going in to have her bladder checked again, I'm hoping we can get her at least a few weeks of gabapentin as that really seemed to help Bailey.

Panda and Pumpkin are both going in for a dental check, Pandas incisors are looking a little long again and Pumpkin has been making faves while eating off and on, I'm really hoping her teeth haven't regrown so quickly..its only been a few weeks this time.

And of course Mabels going in for her investigations same day as Silver and Forrests appointment 😅 it's going to be a busy week! Although they did tell me to call up each day to try to grab any cancellations so I'll probably do that.

Hope all goes well for all the piggies with vets appointments.xx
