Eriathwens piggies

That’s good news for Ivy and Biscuit ❤️❤️
I I hope Pippin and Pearl will be ok ❤️❤️

So.. its been a long day!
A bit more of Ivy's toe had to be removed than originally thought, the bone had shattered so rather than just her nail bed, half the toe is now gone. She's doing ok though.
When Biscuit was opened up he found about a tablespoons worth of blood free in the abdomen and everything he touched immediately bruised. He was unable to find the source of the bleeding but we are hoping it's ovary or uterus related as they've now gone. He thinks it's likely a clotting issue that she has, her recovery is probably going to be a bit iffy, I will be monitoring her closely. Luckily she's up and about and pooping at least.

Pearls eyes are impossible to see into and her right one can almost be popped out the socket! It seems they're filled with fluid and slowly growing in size. They shouldn't be causing her any pain though luckily and she can blink normally, so no risk of ulceration. For now, we're going to monitor her. As both eyes are the same if we opt to remove one, we have to remove both. So basically we are not going to remove her eyes until it becomes necessary to, when he moved towards her she did flinch, and at home she has similarly reacted to certain movements recently so we do believe she does actually have some minor vision, which we're hesitant to remove from her.

Quietly optimistic that the girls are doing well, I'm going to try Biscuit back in with her friends when I next clean them out. Ivy's toe is looking OK, stitches are being left alone and no sign of infection.

Of course that doesn't mean I don't have a list of appointments still 🤣
Pumpkin has a little bit of ringworm under her eye and what I'm using isn't making a difference, Pandas teeth have grown back to almost normal and need checking whether he wants to burr them one last time as they're still just ever so slightly uneven or if we're going to leave them.
Banjo is old enough to be castrated but he's still rather small for his age, so I'm having him checked to make sure he's OK to have his surgery, which at this point I'll leave until the new year.
And I'm currently keeping a close eye on Lily as she's been quite hormonal the last few days but she could well just be reacting to Tilly who is also being hormonal. I could do without another spay! But it is what it is.

Doing meds and realised I hadn't shared any recent baby pictures in a while, haven't they grown! Popcorn has almost caught up to her mother. Kiwi and Banjo are much smaller than she is! They're such lovely little things, constantly on the move and popcorning, I dont think I've ever seen them laying down lol

Never ever say that you don't have anything planned for the next day!
It doesn't work at the office because someone will be quick to change this blissful situation (never mind how much not so urgent stuff is still no your to-do-list).
And it's quite dangerous around piggies. Could be understood as an invitation to come up with something to keep you busy. They wouldn't want you to be bored.:))

You never say the "Q" word in the Post Office either. Having worked in the Post Office for a year, whenever someone came in and said "Its nice and quiet in here isn't it? Aren't you getting bored with nothing to do?" (Er.... no it was nice to have a bit of a break tbh) and after they'd left there would be a queue outside the door for the next couple of hours and it would be full on. Also what used to annoy me was people waiting in queue and when to got to me they complained about the fact that they'd waited in the queue for ages and couldn't I work any faster? Well no I couldn't I was working as fast as I could actually (although I never said this, obviously, just smiled sweetly at them and carried on).

Sometimes a smile is the best and most appropriate way to show your teeth!

Mum worked in various post offices for years, her biggest pet peeve were the ones who came in with 50 parcels 5 minutes before closing 🤣 or the ones who stood outside before she opened just tapping on the window! She had some ridiculous stories.

I am pleased to report everyone behaved themselves apart from Dylan getting a grass seed in his eye but I found it before it had a chance to do any damage, so apart from the washing up, I've done absolutely nothing all day and it's been lovely 😂😂

Baby Banjo has been to the vet this evening to have a pre castration check as he just hasn't been growing very fast (similarly to Kiwi) but he has been officially diagnosed as small but perfectly proportioned 🤣 so he has been booked for his OP for the 10th.
