I just love his little scruffy face so much 
Is his hair soft or rough to the touch, I would imagine rough but I have found the scruffiest sometimes tend to be the softest.

He’s actually quite soft. With borders you have to hand strip their coats. Not cut them. He’s due a strip. You literally have to just pull their hair out. Sounds painful but it’s not. He quite likes it.

, but he takes a nice steady scenery shot too 
On Wednesday Chester’s bestie Ruby came over and they played for so long that on Thursday he literally couldn’t walk. It looked like something was getting trapped in his back. He’d scurry along the floor and then flop down. So I gave him two days of painkillers left over from his neuter operation. He seemed fine so we came away on holiday. We did discuss postponing our trip for a day or two but he was fine. Now today the same thing has happened. 
. We went for a lovely early morning walk to a local reservoir. This afternoon he can’t walk again. Just laying on his bed. So more painkillers and rest for Chester.
When we get home I think I’ll take him to the vet ms for a check up as I want to make sure nothing is wrong with his back or legs.
Bless him. We feel bad for overdoing it this morning.
This was him after I carried him to the grass for a wee wee. He didn’t move or pee.

Thank you. He’s managed a small evening walk around the front garden. Think it’s the pain killers kicking in.
