Bobby is poorly

Bobby is home and very quiet - he took a couple of hours to wake up from the anaesthetic
He had a lot of stones in his bladder and all but one were removed. The one remaining is stuck in the urethra ( the tube from the bladder to the penis) The Vet worked really hard to get at it from both ends but it wasn’t visible to the eye only on X-ray. So she thinks it may cause problems - Bobby may not be able to urinate so the next few hours are critical.
I will start his cc food and give him a little water in a couple of hours and we go back to the Vet tomorro am and I’m aware I may need to go to the Vet hospital if it becomes an emergency.
I’m gutted that one stone remains where it is

Yes I’m hoping so …the Vet said she may have broken it up a bit but it’s not possible to see that and she didn’t want him under the anaesthetic any longer
 
Poor Bobby, so sorry they couldn't get them all out. I hope he's feeling better soon and and fingers crossed it will pass on its own soon! 🤞❤️
 
Hopefully he will be able to pass it 🤞 and if not maybe the vet can remove it.
 
Oh poor Booby I hope after all he has gone through he will have some luck and pass this last stone 💙
 
Bobby died this am
He hadn’t urinated and wasn’t interested in syringe food or water despite me trying every 2 hours thru the night , so I had already decided I had to help him ( we had a follow up appt this am with the Vet)
My big bossy boisterous Bobby decided to do it his own way and Geoff was there right beside him all yesterday and today
I’d tried to feed and give him water at 08.30 and he wasn’t interested so I’m glad I gave him a long cuddle and told him everything I needed to - I’m heartbroken as you can all understand

I am so sorry you’ve lost Bobby. I can only imagine how heartbroken you must be feeling, sending huge hugs to you. Take heart that you did everything you could have possibility have done for him and he passed away at home with you and Geoff that loved him

I am so sorry the operation didn't work out well for Bobby. You gave him the best chance he had of going on to lead a happy pain free life. Sending you hugs at such a sad time.
 
Oh no I am so sorry it's just heartbreaking 💔Bobby was blessed to have such love in his life and that will go with him over the Rainbow Bridge 🌈
