A - I have to leave the heating on overnight for an hour because the temp dropped below 16° the other morning. I keep forgetting to turn the switch to off again when I wake up so then I come downstairs in the middle of the afternoon and the bloody boiler's working. Argh.
B - There's a helicopter doing some really low pass overs and it's driving me insane. Yes, they're most likely looking for someone but good grief that thing is loud.
 
I am not a happy bunny! I have paid an extra £15 this month for my phone to work in The States. I turned off airplane mode at the airport, I had 4G for about 5 minutes and now nothing! I can't send texts either. I am plugged into the hotel WiFi. I shall be having words with my phone provider when I get home! My mobile data is switched on and I've restarted phone twice as well as turning it off and on again. I've tried double checking that I did actually request the add on but I can't. For some reason the app won't open.

My hubby had something like that when he visited France last month... I phoned his provider (EE) and they said he probably needed to select the right network in his phone settings, make sure he wasn't still trying to connect to his UK one. Have you tried anything like that?

Is your phone US network compatible? We found out a few years ago that our UK smartphones were not network compatible whenever we go to US. We can have a network signal yes, but the band usually is mismatched with the ones we use in the UK so having 4g signals can be hit or miss. Although we never really use our UK data when we go there because it will end up being expensive with how much we use it. We just turn off the mobile data.

What we did then was to buy a cheap smartphone in US that have a US simcard with the data/calls & texts pay as you go from any shop there like Wallmart or any phone shops and that's what we use. We just connect through that phone's wifi whenever we want to be online using our phone while on the road and not in the hotel. And then we can throw that sim after. And now, we just buy a new sim again whenever we go back.
 
Hopefuls you can sort it @Betsy but if it doesn’t work with your line then definitely complain when you get back

Tried that and my sim card won't connect to the local T Mobile network. This was not explained to me when I paid for the add on.
 
My brother is the most vile ungrateful toad on the entire planet and I truly despise him. I've given up my weekend for the second time in a row to look after my nephew. I've got a bad back, could barely move yesterday and haven't done any of my usual weekend around the house jobs yet and he's resorted to blackmail.

One day I will press the button that will detonate his entire life.

He sounds awful. I really wish I could give you some advice but it’s a hard situation to be in. Sending you a hug 🤗. Have a rest, your chores will still be there another day. ❤️
 
I’m sorry that your brother is so difficult @Sar its not in the spirit of things (but then it seems he’s not behaving in a nice way either) but I would suggest you say no to looking after your nephew next time he asks. Don’t explain, just say I’m not able to do so. Become a broken record.

I hope today is a better day. If your back is that bad please do rest it. Do one job and then relax the rest of the day. Lots of (gentle) hugs

Looking after my nephew isn't a problem really, just my brothers attitude where he seems to think we are just slaves to him and then acts like parent of the year without doing any actual parenting. He never has really. I can't just leave everything as then mum will try to do it all in one go and make herself poorly, so I've done little bits here and there.

My back is still cramping a bit. Its all to do with my posture and work related I think as it only starts after a tough week at work where I don't stop with nappies and cleaning related things. Half way down, sort of bra strap level it throbs when it goes. A good rest helps it but I've barely had one all weekend and I'm back to work tomorrow. I've not had a lie in, sat in a comfy chair, watched TV or done anything remotely relaxing or for myself this weekend and feel drained.
 
I live in a block of flats where half the residents are tenants and half are long leaseholders. The flat next to me is having work done. It's been going on for weeks and weeks and the drilling and banging seems to be getting louder and louder. Today they started drilling at 8:45 and it went on until after two. I can't listen to the radio, play music or think straight and I'm worried sick about the piggies who hate it.

I've been into the estate office three times to ask how long it's going on. They said they're aware that the flat is having 'a total refit' and someone else has complained too, but they can't do anything because all the drilling is during 'working hours'.

I don't even know who the people are, because the way the flats are arranged, although I share a wall with this flat they use a different entrance. If i just knew how long it was going on it would help. The lady in the office tried to phone the leaseholder but there was no answer. I feel at the end of my tether with it all.
 
Door to door salespeople. I do not want to hire you! Just had a bug/pest control company knock at my door for the second time today! Apparently saying no once is not enough. I also tried explaining why I can't have any spraying done is because my son eats dirt (he is autistic) and I can't risk it. I even had to ask him if he would eat the bug spray and would it be safe; no, of course not! Then I'm not interested.
 
People that don't want pets but still have them anyway. I piggie sit for a friend of the family and she has two lovely boys. So now its getting to better weather, I get a text message, Can I watch the piggies several times as I'll be going away (one of the holidays is for two weeks). Oh only got one piggie now as the other one died a month a go and I had just got them a new hutch too, I'm not getting a second one as he is doing okay, can't wait to be pet free.
Thing is with my newer job, I'm out of the house for 6:30am and I don't know if I can do my piggies and hers going out that early.
 
Suggest some local boarding places if you know any. If it’s going to be difficult for you then you do have to unfortunately say no ☹️
 
My washing machine I swear. Okay, it thinks it's overloaded. Fair. But it refuses to do anything. Put it to rinse or spin or another wash and it just makes angry noises and does nothing else. The drum is dry. There's no water in that drum.

And the door won't open. Of course it won't open.
 
Trying to buy a new sd card for my camera. The one I have is pretty full and not sure when will have time to empty some photos off it (and I take lots of random ones so always like space on it).

I can't seem to just buy an exact copy of the one I have. How do I compare them to get one that matches? Its a nightmare!

Which brand do you use? Look at the details on the one you have and type those in. I buy mine on Amazon, usually sandisk brand.
Or you can take a picture of the one you have and I can try and see if I find it. Where are you buying from?
 
Door finally opened. Wash attempt #3 because it freaked out during the second one too. I have a fleece liner and a fleece rag in there now. That's it. There's nothing left to take out if it does this again. And honestly I just put it through on a cold wash this time because this is getting stupid.

I am done with this thing. Absolutely done.
 
My hayfever is so bad atm that I feel I have a couple of boulders up each nostril. I take antihistamines all year round because if I don't the lining of my nose bleeds. On a day with a very high pollen count this happens anyway. My nose is very sore. I can't have the nose spray thingys either cos that just gives me a bad headache! Why does hayfever have to exist?!?
 
Recently, if baby poggle wakes up overnight he'll go back to sleep within ten minutes for my husband... but with me he'll spend over an hour kicking and biting while feeding rather than sleep :roll::hb:

Because your mum!, is the simple answer 🤷🏽‍♀️ children (including babies) know who they can do what with. How old is baby poggle now?
