I'm glad it's not just me - I kind of expected it, but it's been over a year and that urge was so strong this morning. I'd sort of forgotten it was ever even a thing, the reminder was weird.
As someone who doesn't drive I can confirm busses are a nightmare. It wasn't so bad when I lived in the city but some of the bus routes around here only go once every 2 hours and none run more than every 20 minutes.Busses have had my life this week. They add a combined 3 hour trip to my working day (including waiting time). I've been on 10 this week. 4 have turned up on time, 3 have been at least 25 minutes late (on one of these the bus driver let 4 pushchairs on - blocking the aisle and it was musical pushchairs whenever any one wanted to get off adding even more time to the journey), 2 didn't bother to even turn up at all and the last of them was half full of swearing foul mouthed teenagers who pressed the bell every 3 seconds and stood in gangs on the bus yelling and pretending to punch each other!
The local plant stall at the market wasn't there and I went specifically in to town to see if there was any summer bedding plants as I want to start my collection and start my gardening now the weather is warmer.
Also, just been told that the bus trip to the seaside I was looking forward to going on tomorrow isn't happening because of a broken down vehicle. I'd looked at travel times to try plan my day to see and do the most, where to take the best photos from, my clothes were out, bag packed, sunglasses ready (hopeful!), camera charged ... maybe I will deep clean the bathroom instead and hope I fall down the plughole.
Have you tried goat's milk soap? Or Castile soap? They tend to cause less reactions. Even people I know who react to many, many things can use those.Doesn't matter what I use in the bath or the shower at the moment, certain parts of my body hate it. Everywhere else is fine and then the bits I mentioned before get set off, hands and feet get the worst of it. So it's cream on the minute I'm out and dried off.
I have another steroid I'm to use on the chest patches at the moment...but then it's steroids, so I need to wash it off the hands afterwards, and then I have to deal with the hands freaking out at the soap. Mind you if it clears the chest patches up then I'll do it, lol.

I make bars of oatmeal and honey soap with no perfumes or essential oils. I don't have skin problems but honey and oatmeal are a good combination for skin complaints. You can put a handful of Oats in a muslin cloth and put it in the bath like a tea bag for similar results.I'm a bit late to the party, and I hope that those who were having skin troubles a week ago have found relief, but if not. Can you get Aquaphor? When I have really stubborn dry skin, I find it works really well and quickly. It's safe for pretty much anyone, and it's an ointment so it doesn't have as many extra ingredients as most creams. I usually go with vaseline or some sort-of shea based moisturizing cream, but if I need something ... more, Aquaphor is amazing. It is a bit oily/greasy, though ... plan accordingly.

Of course, I may be the blind leading the blind ... I've got a rash on the back of my knees. Same story ... went to urgent care, one look and the guy told me it was fungal, gave me an anti-fungal cream, didn't help, gave me a version with steroid in it, still nothing ... went to my primary care and showed them the rash and creams, was told it's probably not fungal ... I'm currently on a break from all treatment, though I can use Aquaphor or Vaseline if I need to, and I have a referral for a dermatologist.
Well on the check-in page it now says that on-line check in is not available for disrupted flights. Disrupted flights?!? I hope that this means there was just a change to the original return flight. It certainly didn't say that before! If I'd noticed it I wouldn't have spent the last hour and a half giving myself a headache! I need to go and lie down in a darkened room, or have a stiff drink! Neither of which I can do as Thea has a vet appointment shortly and I have a rather boring Committee meeting this afternoon.I'm trying to check in for my flight to Vienna on Thursday. I have gone to the check in page online. There has been a change to the return flight and I can't check in until I accept the change which I am quite happy to do. Problem is there is nothing on the page for me to accept the change. No button or anything. So I can't check in. I have been on the Airline's FB page and tried to chat with an agent. Instead all I get is a bot that sends me round in circles! Even when I tell this stupid bot that I want to speak with an agent and I press the "Talk to agent" button the bot comes back and asks me what the issue is again. All the bot tells me is that I can book in 48 hours before my flight ... er I know this what do you think I trying to do! So the OH and I will just have to turn up and check in at the airport as it's impossible for me to do it online! I do hope we get to Vienna ........ I didn't choose the airline Travel Republic did.
Ours was doing the same a couple of days ago. Me and my husband both work from home so it was quite annoying. I know people need work doing but it’s still super annoying.Yesterday, I had to put up with a load of noise as my neighbour was having his drive and paved over front garden jet washed, today he is having his patio done! The jet washer doesn't half make a lot of noise. I notice my neighbours have gone out for the 2nd day running to get away from the noise! I was wondering why I had a headache!
You are doing a fab job. I’m sure your house is a normal house with kids. Lol. I’ve been there. You only need 1 ant to find something yummy and suddenly you’ve got millions of them. I hope you managed to sort it out.Ants! Not only do we have a mouse about, there's obviously a crack in the wall somewhere behind my sink, and some ants have figured out they can get through it and straight to my washing up pile. I knew the grouting was a good 30 years old and had gaps, but...
So now I have more pests to kill, something which really upsets me, have another cleaning job to do, and I have to touch up the grouting ASAP. And I discovered this new task list as I was getting ready to go for a bath, a rare treat, as my husband finished work early. So I'll do this instead.
I swear, my house really isn't that dirty; that washing up goes in the dishwasher as soon as the baby goes to sleep and I can clean the kitchen. I do it every day. But it feels like I'm just not doing a good enough job at keeping my house safe and clean for my family.
You are doing an amazing job, please don’t feel you’re not doing a good enough job. I know what a pain ants can be. We had them come into the house some years ago. I was routinely cleaning the floor and work surface but they would still come in. They eventually stopped and didn’t come for a couple of years. Then last year or year before they started again.Ants!
