I have just put said non-bio washing liquid on a free local site on FB. 3 people replied all within 2 minutes of the admins approving it. It's supposed to go to the first person who replied. That was quite tricky as they all replied at the same time. Now I have arguments on who was first! Honestly does it matter? It's only washing liquid!

Why do washing liquid companies insist on adding perfume? I normally get Lidl's own brand of non-bio washing liquid for the piggies stuff. I ran out and couldn't get to Lildl's so bought some Persil non-bio instead. I can't stand the smell. It is so strong that my throat was closing up and my nose was twitching. I have had to open the windows upstairs where the stuff is drying as well as the front door and the back door. I don't care that it's only about 4 degrees outside. The need to breathe comes before whether the house is cold or not. I think I'm gonna have to wash it all again in just plain water and hope that it gets rid of the smell!
I feel your pain, Sainsbury's own brand washing powder has a mild scent that disappears on the line, it took me a long time to find something that didn't smell. I hate artificial scents. I couldn't get or usual washing up liquid last week and the one I bought stinks the house out, it's like rotten apples. My neighbour tumble dries his clothes I don't know what conditioner/tumble sheets he uses but the smell blows across our garden and comes in the windows. I can't imagine anyone wanting to walk around smelling like that!

@Betsy , I've been meaning to ask how you're getting on with the ecoegg?
I think it's great! I use it all the time except for the stuff in the hutch as I feel it needs something a bit stronger for the fleeces after 3 piggies have weed all over them for a few days. I've been using it 2-3 times a week since May last year and I've not had to refill it yet. Saved loads of dosh on detergent. I even use it for handwashing my bras.

Persil are particularly bad for it. I use their non bio for the goblin washing and I used to use the standard stuff for mine until the new washing machine turned up with an Ariel sampler and I was sold, I use the Ariel colour for all my stuff now. Still got a scent to it but nothing remotely close to the cloying Fairy Persil one.

I can add up to 5 rinses with my washing machine. Never heard of washing sheets before. Will have a look now.

Can find Dr Beckmann do you mean those? Dr Oetker is usually baking products.
It's the up to 7 days scent that would put me off. My nose is so very sensitive that I have to have it smelling of nothing or the lining of my nose bleeds. There are a very few artificial scents that I can handle.

Wow! Wish our washing machine did extra rinses, within a cycle.

I have tried Simpleliving eco laundry sheets on human washing.
Only down side was, despite using fragrance free- I think I had a reaction to them, so I never tried them on piggy washing.

I only use the sheets on piggy washing, the ecoegg is mine. The boys soon get rid of any nice smells on their stuff.....

I dread to think how your nose reacts when you're next to me after I've had a cigarette lol.I hope it's not too bad.

I've used the Dr Beckman sheets and I couldn't smell anything after the washing came out the machine. There was also a company I used that did sheets.I just sent off for a sample and with them,I also couldn't smell anything.I will remember what they were called lol.

Luckily a vape doesn't smell like an ashtray 😂

No indeed, but coincidentally there's a company that makes vape juice flavours for DIY called The Flavour Apprentice, but that's just their juice. The company as a whole is called The Perfume Apprentice for probably obvious reasons, and they're phasing out the TFA branding now in favour of TPA across the board.

Plus, vape juice has a smell. It's dependent on the flavouring usually, but it's there. I can imagine it causing irritation for some.
