It seems to be the quiet unassuming ones who worm their way deepest into our affections and leave a more raw space in our hearts when they have to leave us 💔

The lovely apple tree twigs from @Qualcast&Flymo have been a great hit with most of the Tribe (my old ladies prefer to pee on them), even to the degree as to start a tug of war through the grids! :D

Apple tree twigs
Sorry for asking but are these from a cooking apple tree as I have access to some. ?

You can use fresh or dried wood, it doesn't matter; neither does it matter whether it is twigs or branches.

It is all edible and great natural enrichment. Much better (and cheaper) than any treated and processed wooden shop toys. ;)

Oh how annoying
Went to get some apple twigs etc from the pen Sadly the branches are covered in very routed moss etc so unable to use my apple 🍏 tree. Arrrrr

Merlin is still waiting for his neutering op but he has become good friends with Llelo's widow Melangell through the bars over the last weeks and he is enjoying his roaming time where he can interact with all Tribe piggies.

I am pretty hopeful that Mella and Merlin are going to make a stable longer term pair since she is only 14 months older than him but I hope that they will absorb other group leftovers over the coming years the way Brangwyn is right now.
