Honestly he's like the pig who cried wolf. Every so often all I hear is him screaming but every time I've legged it down the stairs, it turns he's screamed because Bann just got out of bed and apparently Mourne thinks this is the appropriate way to say hi to a guinea pig who keeps ignoring him.
I'll give him his due, he doesn't keep it up, it's like he's got this first burst of excitement and then he calms down again. I'm just glad they're in the living room now and not my bedroom lol.
I just asked Mourne how he was managing to rumble and wheek at the same time before I realised that it was Bann doing the wheeking. Bann doesn't wheek. and then he was begging, too! I guess that's what I get for giving romaine for breakfast and not pepper.
Oooooo it’s soo lovely to see the boys in your photos
How did you get them to stay still and pose
Mourne has mischief in that little face and I think Bann is thinking ‘ ok get on with it …just this once!’
Yes. I think it'd work, Mourne's quite dominant but that's in part because Bann keeps ignoring him, and Bann has no real interest in being the leader anyway. I know they can share their hay. I know it's a good idea. I'm just nervous, I guess, and I still need to clear the room first.
I took these today because one of the support managers was here today for something else and asked if she could get a couple of photos for the website along with a small blurb about how they help my mental health day-to-day. I'm still working on the blurb part.
He's got that same glint to his eye, and Bann has taught him how to properly glare at me. I've seen it happen.
Also, he has Blitzen's head, only mirrored. Same colour, same half orange moustache (Blitzen on the left, Mourne to the right), the fur sits similarly. It's uncanny.
And finally, he has Cam's love of shrieking. Sorry, neighbours.
Bann thinks I'm an idiot. He thinks I've given him enough hassle for 3 days now so why not get his own back and refuse to leave his bed? And ignore any food placed near his bed's entrance until my back is turned.
Unfortunately for Bann I have a foolproof way of finding out if he's really that sick and it turns out, he is not. The minute I popped the lid of the treat tub his head was out of bed and on the hunt.
