Gave the boys some haypigs piggy nom noms to try. The jury is out on the carrot and coriander but the blueberry and basil needs to come with a side effects warning. May cause popcorns...
Oh no.Dignified Sir George is poorly! He's squeaking when either weeing or pooping, bless him. Off to the vet later
If it helps at all, I've seen videos of people giving their piggies medicine via a syringe and the piggies seem to take very well to it, actually, a few would eagerly await medicine time. It must at least taste nice.I'm just hoping he doesn't get worse with antibiotics. I'm confident about giving meds etc as both boys often get given some syringed water. I started to do that just in case they ever needed anything syringed so they are familiar.
What did Sir George think of being sniffed? We went to the local vets for pets and I must say I was impressed. He had a thorough check all over and the vet even sniffed his bits! He obviously is far too dignified to have supplied any samples on the table and I believe he is probably the best behaved and most chilled guinea pig the vet has ever seen. He has baytril and dog metacam (I didn't have to request the dog version).
I give Minerva little kisses on her nose and she looks at me as if to say "Assault...."He's always very calm about everything, bless him. He looks as if to say "what are you doing?" then it's all ok. He really does amaze me
Cautious And Almost Entirely Serious Miss Gaia is taking on more and more cues from my Mischievous Miss Minerva which on the plus side means she becoming more confident (and having more fun) but on the flip side, she's becoming more defiant and a little bit naughty.I appreciate that I am extremely lucky to have such a zen little chap. Mischievous Master Boris is getting there, possibly thanks to the calm vibes he gets from Dignified Sir George.
I am pleased to report that Sir George is very good at taking medicine. Definitely not keen on the baytril though.
He'd also lick the grid of the hutch.Metacam is very addictive and super yum! I had my Silver Fox Christian well trained. All I had to say was "Christian medicine" and he was up patrolling the bars asking for his Metacam fix. If I was a minute late with it, he would be patrolling up and down, up and down until he got his fix.
