I got the job at the new bookstore we're building! Manager said she's excited to take me along. Starting in March we'll be setting up. Looking forward to it because it'll be less busy.

Why do I get the feeling my guinea pigs don't really respect me, lol? Don't know why I say that.

I'm going to get wheatgrass for the boys because Stripe can tolerate it. I'd like to get him back on veg. He cannot tolerate cilantro. I'll try a bit of pepper in a few days.

Chez has been doing mountains of poo.

Day off for 45 minutes of cleaning, Farsi lesson and just chilling. Gotta get dressed here and head to the store.
 
Stripe's poop has been normal for a few days, although he is letting out little farting noises. So I'm starting him out on a little basil. They are also a good size, almost as big as Chez.

Gotta leave for work in a couple hours.

Stripey is never traumatized by his eye drops. I put him back in the cage and he zoomed and popcorned. But the boys are now distracted by the fresh hay.

I think I found an online hay that will save me $25 a month. But I don't know if 2nd cutting will upset their tummies. I can't get first cutting because Chez won't eat it.

Barrett is off to the vet in a few hours to have his sores tested and possible antibiotics! I put his carrier out last night to get him used to it.

Ope, there goes Stripe with the popcorning!

Stripe is up to one piece of lettuce and a small slice of pepper. Tomorrow he'll have two pieces of lettuce. So far so good and he's off the poo soup. Over five weeks off antibiotics and no ear infection. He's happy.

It's cage cleaning for both in two hours.

They really have earned their namesake, The Cookie Boys, because if I'm with them in the evening all they do is beg. So I usually just put them to bed and go spend time with Barrett.

The boys are enjoying some forage after spot cleaning. It's always nice to see Stripe popcorn right after meds, I can know it doesn't really bother him.

Never knew why, but Chez zooms when I spot clean.

The cookie boys will have to be alone 8 hours today, I have a mid shift.

Starting March 6 I'm at the new store and we have to alphabetize 3 semis full of books. Today I'm training in the gift department, which will be my specialty.

I bought two books yesterday: one on Spinoza and one philosophy of science. Had to special order them as they are kinda niche.
 
I think piggies get worried about their poops and hay being taken away.
What is a semi? I always put books back in the right place I I can. For instance, if someone has left a book on houseplants under T and the author begins with A and the book is sticking out under Yoga, I will look for the right place fof it. OCD or what 😄 I value book shops and libraries.
Spinoza, gosh, deep stuff. You are a brainy guinea pig keeper!
 
Last morning of eye drops. Eye looks good.

Chez doesn't seem to be too wild about green peppers as much as red.

Stripe had the zoomies and begged for extra cookies. I must have said "no cookies" twenty times and tried to lift his chin, which he deftly moved away from.

Had Stripe out for meds and what I thought was a nice lap time. But when I put him back in the cage he made that little "burr" sound. Were my feelings hurt? A little.

The boys had their veg, forage, spot clean. Chez never touches his pellets but maintains his weight.

Poo soap did wonders for Stripe, much better than the benebac.

It's going to be a high of -9⁰ Celsius today.

I have four days off in a row!
