Phoebe - I am not happy

If there is still pus coming out, smell it and if it smells like bad breath then it is an abscess
 
There is no leaking today.
The tiny hole is dry and clean.
As I said at the beginning the vet isn’t absolutely sure what the problem is but having cleared out the gunk and with a course of antibiotics he hopes to be able to see better next week.
I appreciate your concern

Luigi was rather fond of cleaning Jess’s face after her eye op, these boys can be rather sensitive at times :love: (Or just gross and think ‘free food’! 🤔)
Hope she’s doing even better today, sending gigantic healing vibes and big hugs from us lot (and face licks from Luigi!) x

She’s bright and happy today.
Waiting at the food bowl this morning and up on her hind legs to grab the coriander at lunchtime.
Her face looks much better too.
I will weigh her later when she gets her meds but she feels chunkier now.
It’s frightening how fast these things flare up.
I looked back to see if I had missed anything but a picture taken last week shows a perfect little eye and at her weigh in a week before her weight was normal. She lost nearly 100g in the space of a few days.
The support from you all has been a real blessing this week.

Glad Phoebe is feeling better. Hope it all heals up quickly and that's that.

I'm sure you didn't miss anything, infections can make bumps come up unbelievably fast. You noticed as soon as she was "off " and got her to the vets, as an observant and obedient slave should ;)
 
Totally agree, you didn’t miss anything Heather! These little ones are just so quick to scare the life out of us with these things! You’re an amazing owner, wish I was a pig so I could live at your house! :D

We are on holiday in our special holiday cage.
I am upset because Slave insisted on bringing my medicine too, and the scales so I still have to be weighed every day.
I feel much better now, so I am not really too upset.
We had fun today with all of us sharing the hay cottage.
I climbed on top. Here’s a picture of us sharing nicely and of me on top.

I'm glad to read that sweet Pheobe is on the mend. It sounds like you noticed it just in time. Most likely an abscess if its responding to the antibiotics and your loving care.
 
Thank you all my forum friends for your support.
I have to go in my carrier again tomorrow to go to the vet .
Slave said it will only take a few minutes to get there, not 3 hours like today.
I hope he doesn’t want to shave my pretty little nose again.
I will show him that I’ve put on lots of weight and I’m very good at taking my medicine. ( Slave’s comment - hah!)

So sorry I missed poor Phoebe’s post Heather, fingers crossed it all goes well tomorrow at the vets for Phoebe 🤞
