Oh Jess, not again! ☹️🙈

Sending you and Jess hugs. I hope Jess picks up soon, it's such a horrible situation to be in. I have a vet I really trust so when Bracken had his kidney issues I was guided by her and kept him going until the day she said it was time to stop. This helped take the strain of all the decision making off me. Do you have a vet who could do that for you?

Thanks so much @piggieminder. I’m really not trusting this new(ish) local vet now she missed the (most likely) kidney issues in January so it will be Kim or Simon at C&R I’d have to go to/speak to. Think I might ring tomorrow to get Kim’s opinion after seeing her last Monday.
I thought the antibiotics were working with not seeing any blood but her behaviour’s just worrying me a bit and then obviously discovered the poo earlier.
But at the same time it probably takes it out of you when you’re an OAP and she always reacts badly to antibiotics these days! So it’s hard to judge and make a clear headed decision atm!

Thankfully a bit of green oat and dandelion sprinkle on her hay awoke her from her extra long slumber. Looks very sleepy but having a munch which makes me worry a little bit less. Might see if we can put her metacam up a bit, on 0.25 twice a day but she had more with the eye out so might be worth a try. But also might be troublesome on the kidneys with the antibiotics? No idea. But she’s thankfully munching x

Thinking of you and Jess. xx
Thanks Yvonne xx

These other two porkies are the quietest they’ve ever been! But they’re being brilliant little cagemates and joining her and not ramming their way into the bed with her etc like they normally would! Quiet boss, quiet minions! :)) :love:x

I think piggies understand when one of the herd is poorly. I recently noticed that Hazel had a sore eye because Milo was fussing over her (not something he normally does).

I'm sure Jess is having lots of happy days with you.x

I really hope so, thank you x
I’ve never seen Aliona groom Jess, Luigi and the ladies do separately as he loves a face groom but this week (especially after the vet trip) she’s been lovely to her and really seen that caring side! Still a couple of botty bites but nothing like normal!
How sweet of Milo, glad he helped, these piggies do amaze me! x

She was up and mooching around in the hay when I woke from my nap, a bit more ‘with it’ which makes me wonder if it’s the meds wiping her out as she seems to improve a bit afternoon/evening. She’s had a munch and back on snooze-mode now til meds very soon, hopefully tomorrow’s a better day for her x

Out of bed this morning waiting for her breakfast thank god. Really hoping it’s a sign today’s a better day for us all.

Thanks so much for everyone’s support yest, I had a feeling she’d gone to the bridge overnight with how she was yesterday so massively thankful she’s still here to greet me this morning :luv:

Sorry should probably add this to here instead of her photos, my brain isn’t working
I’ve found Jess with more blood, noticed as it was all on her nose, been trying to clean it from her bits and all on her tummy bless her. No weight loss, scoffed all morning, bit of a surprise again! :mal:
Only stopped antibiotics yesterday after two weeks, seen no blood for a week 😢I’m just waiting for a phone call back from C&R to see what to do. She’s on metacam for the rest of her life anyway. Yup I’m a wreck, we were doing so amazingly well!

Well as so worried I’ve called, rang at 11 and sat freaking out since!
Spoke to vet nurse. She’s having a couple more weeks of antibiotics (from Kim’s advice) and we’ll see how she goes. I’m very glad tbh, she’s still looking so chirpy! And munching more than myself daily!
These blinking pets are sending me to an even earlier grave than I was destined for with my brain!:mal:Fingers crossed for my little senior beauty though! xx

Aw, crack on with those antibiotics! They are a worry and she’s such a gorgeous little fighter, she‘s probably just carrying on as normal, it’s left to you to stress and worry about her. Hope the longer dose does the trick x

Thank you guys, she’s worried me again all day! Will start her back on the sulfatrim soon with her metacam, gonna hate me again! Sleeping soundly atm so I’m not that evil, will do it all in one go! But hopefully helps 🤞🤞Everyone’s support means so much, thank you xx

Aw Jess, you know how to worry your slave. I hope the extra course of antibiotics makes it all go away this time. Keep on munching
