Scatter feeding veg so everypig gets a fair share.
Hay bag is a hay tunnel until I’m no-one will feel trapped.
 
Great news for Naomi and the gang! Glad her lump is nothing serious and they are living a life of luxury, precious girls 😍
 
Unfortunately Priscilla is still not happy. She seemed to be settling but something is upsetting her.
I’m not sure if it’s the bonding or something else going on.
She’s losing weight but she’s not being deprived of food or bullied away from the food.
We’ll how she does with daily weighing and syringe feed but I may need a vet trip to rule out a health issue.

Ruth was next to her this afternoon and trying to lick her eye so there’s no probl with them.

I do wish they could tell you what’s going on.
 
Took Priscilla to the vet today.
Nothing obviously wrong with her teeth or tummy. There’s no lumps or bumps, she’s just losing weight.
Vet did say that there is some discomfort and so Priscilla is on Loxicom to see if that makes a difference.
She had 0.4mg when we got home and will be on 0.2 mg twice a day for the next week.
Vet will call me on Friday for an update.
Hopefully this will help and she’ll start eating properly again and be more receptive to Naomi and Ruth who want to be friends.

I’m away for work Tuesday to Thursday so to his great joy my husband is in charge of medicatoon and possibly still syringe feeding 😅
 
Priscilla is brighter today so must be feeling more comfortable.
Now to help her gain weight.
Both Ruth and Naomi are making proper piggy approaches but Priscilla doesn’t like having her bum sniffed and runs away.
I’m hoping that as her health improves she’ll behave better too.

Does anyone know why Critical Care spreads so far ?
I can’t believe just how much ends up over me!

Very excited last night - Ruth let me stroke her head in the cage 😍

I'm sure he will cope admirably Heather, and Priscilla grumpy pants will probably come round eventually- you have the most enormous luxury piggy palace for 4, plenty space to accomodate the most difficult diva if she wishes to temain aloof- I think your C&C palace for 4 is now the same size as our mansion that comfortably housed 7 for years, which still exceeded the recommended space guidelines by a fair margin!
Relax and enjoy your retreat, it will do you good to step away from piggy politics for a few days then review with a fresh perspective when you get back x

True - I’m being a bit over anxious about my lovely diva.
Good advice, echoed by Mr Merab’s Slave who usually is right about these things :D
 
Try not to worry too much about Priscilla. Mr Merab’s Slave is an extremely competent and capable second in command. I’m sure he will cope admirably for a couple of days without you. I hope that things settle down and Priscilla decides to engage more with her new cage mates. Sows can be quite distant at times until they feel more settled.
 
Home again to find Priscilla more active and involved with others.
As she was eating with the others my husband just did medication and not syringe feeding.
I will weigh her tomorrow and see how she’s doing.
She was at the bars with others explaining that they hadn’t been fed at all today.
My herd are not known for their truthfulness at times.

I’m relieved that she’s brighter.
Will talk to the vet tomorrow about the medication.
I would like to know what was causing the discomfort
 
Unfortunately Priscilla’s weight is still dropping.
She is brighter and happier with the others.
Watched her sit quietly as Ruth licked her eye.

She’s still on meds and vet will speak to their exotic specialist next week to see what she suggests, meanwhile I keep syringe feeding.
I do have 3 eager helpers when I feed Priscilla!

My feeling is we should do an X-Ray to check for any possible dental issue, or possibly something else deep seated..
Must top up vet funds £££££££

Ruth and Naomi have slowed down in the weight gain department.
I’ve had to increase my HayBox order and reduce the time between deliveries.

Glad her weight is up, but little Frida who has gone from 390g to 420g in the past 4 days says, "sliver of apple? What is this slivery business? Half an apple sounds more like it, I hear there is a union for this sort of thing?"
