Georgie - Chest Infection and Possible Heart Condition

I’m so sorry that Georgie has passed while you are away on holiday. It sounds like a very peaceful passing, with his lovely lady by his side. Big hugs xx

I’m so sorry Yvonne to read that Georgie pass away earlier today, sending big hugs across to Greece for you both x
I can imagine how hard it is not being there but he had Mavis holding his hand as he went on his way
Sleep tight little man 🌈

So sorry to read that Georgie passed away.
It sounds as if it was a lovely passing for a piggy - eating alongside his lady.
He had a wonderful life with you.
Be gentle with yourselves as you grieve.

I'm so sorry for your loss, but if he had to choose how to go he couldn't have chosen a better way. Sleep tight Georgie 💕

I’m so sorry you lost Georgie. You filled his life with love. What a peaceful way to go. Take care. Popcorn high at the bridge Georgie. ❤️

I am so sorry to hear about your sweet Georgie.
It sounds like his passing could not have been more peaceful and her certainly knew he was very loved.

I’m so sorry you’ve lost lovely Georgie, massive hugs, and I’m sorry you couldn’t be with him. I’m so glad he had Mavis to hold his paw and it was such a peaceful passing for him, enjoying his tasty food ❤️ He had the most amazing life with you :hug:xx

I am sorry you couldn't be there when Georgie toddled over Rainbow Bridge, but as you say he was very well looked after. Be kind to yourself and gentle as you grieve. I am honestly so thankful for your "heart pig" advice you have shared :luv:

Now another of our piggies, Hazel, is at the emergency vet. She was at the vets the day before we came on holiday as we had seen a little blood in her urine. She is on meds and booked in for a scan the day after we get home from Greece. She has deteriorated suddenly and is struggling to pass urine. Hazel had a bladder stone removed earlier this year and did not recover well from the op. I am worried sick waiting for news. 😢

Oh no. I hope Hazel is ok. Such a worry for you. It’s good that your friends looking after them are so diligent and noticed she wasn’t well. Sending healing vibes. ❤️

Hazel has been kept at the vets overnight for support care. They will do a scan tomorrow if she is well enough. Her gut sounds are not very good, so they need to deal with that first. Possibly bladder sludge or another stone. She is already on a low calcium diet so not sure why this has happened again.

I wish I was at home and not so far away. So scared that we will lose two piggies in just a few days. 😢😢

Really hope Hazel will be ok, sending healing vibes to her and really hope she has a good night with the vets. ❤️
I’m so sorry you’ve had so much going on with the piggies while you’re away, really hope you’re alright :hug:xx

She is in the best place. You know they will be doing all they can for her and keeping a very close eye on her too. Fingers crossed for some good news tomorrow. Take care. It must be awful being away.

Sorry you have another poorly piggy whilst you're away from home, sending bucket loads of healing vibes to Hazel.

I think there's a lot of genetic predisposition in problems like bladder stones. I've only had one piggy with a bladder stone out of 7 I've had so far, his diet etc was the same as the others. There's only so much you can do to prevent stones, and you for sure are doing it.

Sorry you lost Georgie and that Hazel is sick as well. I hope Hazel recovers quickly. It’s a lot to go through, so my thoughts are with you all.

My heart is breaking. We have lost Hazel too, she suffered organ failure and passed away in ICU at the vets early this morning.

How can this have happened while I am so far away. If I had been at home Hazel would have had her scan sooner and maybe the outcome would have been different. The vet convinced me she would be fine for a couple of weeks. I feel so guilty that I didn't do the best for her.

Sleep tight my beautiful girl, you will always be in my heart. 💔

Oh I’m so, so sorry Yvonne, I’m absolutely gutted for you. It’s not your fault, these piggies go downhill so quickly and you couldn’t have predicted she’d be so poorly, and went by your vet’s advice.
You always do your best for your piggies, they’re very lucky to have you. I’m just so sorry you couldn’t be with her. Massive hugs xx

Sleep tight beautiful Hazel ❤️❤️ xx

Oh no. That’s awful. I’m so sorry for you. Popcorn high at the bridge Hazel. Georgie will be waiting for you. ❤️

Oh Yvonne just read this awful news, I’m so, so sorry you have now lost Hazel you weren’t to know this would happen and can only be guided by your vet
Sleep tight little Hazel 🌈
