Furbabies' Adventures

Odi just had his usual dentist appointment (it was also the pre holiday appointment).
The lower incisors are getting bigger and stronger. The vet is afraid that she won't be able to do concious dentals much longer because Odi is not amused by the procedure and it takes longer to do every time as the teeth get stronger and stronger.
The molars were in a pretty bad state as well just as I was afraid of.
So we are back to dentals every 3 weeks and I already booked all appointments until my vet's holiday in August.

That’ll teach you to abandon the piggies. As a leading member of GPFANS Tessy has to maintain certain standards.

Hope you had a lovely holiday.
Yes, I know.
Retirement didn't change anything about the nipping standards of my sweet and sooo innocent looking girl.

The holiday was lovely apart from two long days of travelling. At least everything went accordingly to plan on the journey home.

The piggies are back home after my holiday.

Tessy nipped my hand three times while I was taking her out of the box she travelled in with Bonny and Vicky and put her into the cage.
I think she is not very impressed that she had to stay at my friend's place for 10 days.
They're gorgeous 🥰 What a lovely cage setup!

On their first day home, the piggies have been really quiet.
This morning Bonny found it a good idea to remind me to get up and giving out breakfast. I know that she has been very vocal at my friend's flat (again).
So now we need to get through a few days of anti-morning-wheek-training to ensure that my sweet loud girl doesn't carry on with her bad morning behaviour at home.

We're in the middle of the first extended heat wave of the year. Luckily, the thunder showers last night have brought a little bit of cooler air. We'll only get about 30° today and tomorrow before it's up to 34/35° again starting Monday.

The piggies are doing fine even though they have to live in semi-darkness at the moment. They sleep a lot but they are very energetic and hungry when awake. We also had a few hormonal highs with a very excited Odi (wouldn't believe he is 6+) but not too much pickering otherwise.

Unfortunately, most of the gras in the garden has turned to "hay" and it's really hard to find something green to bring home. But lettuce, cucumber and bell pepper is also very popular.
I haven't had a chance to take them for a visit to the garden this year. On weekends it was either too cool and rainy (in May), too unstable (in June), too hot, too unstable or too stormy (so far in July). I'm also not sure if Odi could eat grass by himself anyway and Tessy always hates to leave her safe surroundings anyway. But I'm sure that Bonny, Vicky and Kylie would love to be outside. :hmm:
