Furbabies' Adventures

Two more days to go in this heat ...
I hope! The prognosis changed from a drop in temperature and rain from today to Monday. So we will see how long it will really take.

The piggies are doing great so far. They haven't seen much daylight in the last two weeks, but I guess my indoor plants suffer more from this than the piggies.
Last evening the temperature has climbed a bit over 27° which is my alarm threshold, but it has cooled down a little during the night again.
I don't want to know how many insects and spiders invade my flat through the open windows each night.

I expect to see a slight drop in weight due to the heat and the street noise during the night because they are not used to open windows in the pig room ... ahmmm my living room ... during the night.
But they are eating fine, no change in behaviour due to the warmer temperatures to notice.

I'm a bit worried about Odi's teeth. He can be a fussy eater at times when it comes to lettuce and cucumber, but I think that he is a bit slower eating bell pepper as well. I hope the next teeth burring can wait until the week after next because I've got to time it with my holiday. If we have to go too early, the pig sitter will be in trouble. If we go too late, Odi won't be able to eat on his own again. Last time it took him over a week, usualy it was only a few days. So the timing will be tricky. :hmm:

Tessy thought that it would be a nice change to get some attention from a vet as well. She got this little lump next to her teat. So she will come along to Billie's appointment next Friday.
It looks supervisual to me but we will see what the specialist vet thinks.

Oh dear Tessy.
Hope your little lump isn’t serious.
It might be a good idea not to nip the nice vet who will make you better.

We have sunshine 🌞
More rain forecast though.

Trying to persuade Bonny to give an urine sample. :ple:
Both Bonny and Vicky (whom I've tested as well) think that I've finally gone completely crazy.

But both girls are fine ... no traces of blood in their urine. :D
So the slight traces I've seen this week on the pee pads are probably either from Billie or more likely Tessy. But they are both at the vet's this Friday anyhow.
Maybe I should try to test Odi as well, but he is VERY stuborn about giving a urine sample. So I'll probably just wait what the vet says about Tessy on Friday. And Odi will be at our usual vet because of his teeth the week after this anyhow.

When I took Billie and Tessy out of the cage today, Odi wasn't happy about it at all.
He is always very protective about his girls. Must have been hard 2.5 hours for him with just Bonny, Vicky and Kylie for company.
Before we left, he just sat there in the middle of the cage and stared at me. :soz:
Poor Odi. He's such a good boy. :)

Odi has his next dentist appointment tomorrow. I hope everything will go well. It's hotter than I would like to have for a trip to the vet, but it can't be helped. And unfortunately I'm not able to take him to a morning appointment because of work. So tomorrow evening it is...

Last Friday when Billie and Tessy were seeing the specialist vet, he asked if I had tried CBD on Billie yet. And then he yoked that maybe I would need it more than Billie.
Well ... maybe I should think about it. :))
