Furbabies' Adventures

Just make them stand in the hall.
If they don’t understand that space for guinea pigs is important do you want them in your home ?
Well, I don't invite people into my home who don't understand about guinea pigs anyhow.
Much better to meet somewhere else and mantain a certain impression of what non-guinea pig people consider as sanity.

I am honoured to have been welcomed into your home with @Betsy and our OHs.

Odi is eating most things on his own again. Cucumber is still not possible but we have got a pretty good feeding routine at the moment.
I'm a little worried that there is something going on in his lower jaw. But the vet didn't mention anything the last time we where there, so I can only hope for the best.

And it's hard to believe but the piggies have been on fleece for about a year now. I still don't like it much, but I'm used to it now more or less.
I have to confess that I never thought it to be necessary for this long because I wouldn't have dared to dream that Billie would still be around and happy this time of the year.
She is now 5 years and 11 months - exactely today. :luv:

Update on Odi's teeth: He is still not able to eat cucumber on his own. He can take bites out off veggy slices or thin veggies like bell pepper pieces or lettuce but he can't take a bite from bigger pieces. That's new and I'm not happy about it. It could mean that he doesn't have enough bite pressure because of muscle decrease or that there is something painful going on in his jaw. Neither would be good. :(

I wonder if he has a brewing abscess in his jaw? Poor Oli, hope he improves 🤞

All piggies have lost weight during my holiday in September but most are back to their former weight. Vicky was the last to catch up. She had me a bit worried. But she is eating fine, fur all shiny, energy as usual. Still, I told the specialist vet that I'd bring her along Billie's next visit. She must have heard this because now her weight is starting to increase. I hope it'll stay this way.

Odi has got a dentist appointment in Thursday. He still can't eat cucumber on his own and he has lost a little bit of weight again.
I'll have a talk to the vet about his lower incisors.
And he will also come along to the specialist vet later in November.
But I'm afraid that there won't be anything to do really ... except cutting the veggies into smaller pieces and handfeeding.

Tessy managed to hurt one of her toes. It's really swollen but she isn't bothered by it. Probably caught the nail somewhere ... no idea where though.
My piggies just try to keep life interesting for me. 🙈
Anyway, Tessy will come with Odi on Thursday so my usual vet can have a look at her toe. Just to be on the safe side.
