Eddie doesn't quite seem himself

As for the feet,You can buy a foot ointment from Gorgeous Guineas but I can’t remember the name of it. It may be called perfect paws but I’m not sure. But sometimes putting stuff on feet can make the problem worse x

Always worth getting a vet to look at the feet before putting a anything on them, but once the vet has ruled out anything medical if just a moisturiser is needed then we use Gorgeous Guineas Perfect Paws ointment or F&M ointment- we clean Jezzy's crusty old red wee feet with CLX antiseptic paw wipes recommended by our vet (you can buy these from Amazon if needed) then apply the foot ointment. Hope you can sort out the weight loss, dodgy poops and sore feet!

Mystery weight loss is a worry isnt it, old lady Clover has lost 150g over the past year, slowly but steadily, and the vet cant find anything wrong... sending hugs X

Update: (I forgot to update yesterday- sorry!)

Yesterday I took pictures and emailed them to the vets. They said to make sure I use soft and thick bedding and clean it regularly and also to monitor the problem. They offered a telephone consultation but I haven't booked one as I wouldn't have anything more to say than what I already have in the email. They didn't seem concerned since they're happy for me to just keep an eye on it at this stage.

I've been thinking about what could have caused this to happen to his feet and it occurred to me that although they have fleece in their cage, when they're out on the floor, (which is most of the day everyday at the moment since I'm at home all the time) I just use towels which obviously aren't as absorbent as fleece. I have some spare vetbed that I could put on top of the towels under the hides. Would that help?

By the way here are the pictures I sent to the vet:

Those look like Patsy's feet. Patsy went to the vet a couple of weeks ago for something unrelated and I mentioned the feet and the vet mentioned the bedding too. I said that she was on fleece in the hutch and also in the run and that I cleaned it out once a week. I am now cleaning out the hutch and run twice a week just in case the bedding is a bit damp and that is why her feet look a bit sore. I am putting on Gorgeous Guineas Perfect Paws twice a day to see if that helps. Patsy doesn't seem to mind me massaging her feet twice a day but she does do lots of poops of protest!

Does the Gorgeous Guineas seem to be working for Patsy @Betsy ? I doubt Eddie will be happy about being picked up all the time but if to have stuff put on his feet but if it will help it's worth a go.

Thanks @Merab's Slave :)

When Odin developed a sore as a result of urine scald and immobility when he was in hospital, the best treatment I found was cleaning the feet throughout the day, adding Aloe Vera and then an F10 barrier cream. Plus I gave him vet bed to sit on.
I was told that his feet were incurable, but he certainly had no issues ever again. He had lovely feet in the end 💕

I've only been using the Perfect paws for 5 days so it's difficult to tell yet.

What did you add the Aloe Vera to or was it a gel? and where did you get the F10 barrier cream from?

The Aloe Vera is pure aloe Vera gel from boots (recommended by the vet). I originally got F10 barrier from the vet, but you can buy it on Amazon 😊

I have found some unopened F10 barrier cream in my piggie first aid cupboard that is still in date which is good. I'll be passing Boots on my way to the Post Office today so will pop in and see if I can find some Aloe Vera gel. :) I'm sure Patsy doesn't want sore feet any longer than necessary. I'll give the Perfect Paws ointment another week and if it makes no difference I'll try the Aloe Vera Gel and F10 barrier cream after a few days of putting nothing on her feet just cleaning them gently with a soft damp cloth soaked in warm water.

Thanks for the suggestions @Betsy and @Bradshaw Piggies :) Should I contact the vet again to make sure they think it's ok to use these creams since they haven't prescribed them or can I just buy one and start using it?

Let us know how she’s getting on 😊 I had to follow a strict regime with Odin’s feet but it was well worth it. He also had Epsom salt soaks twice a day (I was careful to wipe his feet down afterwards to remove any remaining salt).
Hope Patsy’s feet improve 😊💕

There's no harm in checking with them. Hope his foot starts feeling better soon.

Aw bless him, hope his feet feel better soon. My Sheepy got sore feet after his (first) stroke as he was sitting in his pee more often etc, I tried to change the bedding as much as possible to keep him dry. I used the GG’s cream with him too (after Simon the vet said it was ok, he had a couple of sore feeties bless him).

I've just sent some images through to the vet of Patsy's feet as they don't seem to be getting better. I know it's early days but I'm not happy as she was biting at her nails this morning when I was applying the cream which is what she does when she is unhappy. I only want the best for her especially as this is her third home in her life and she is just starting to feel at home here, settled and is beginning to trust me.

Thank you :) Did Sheepy's feet get better after using the cream?

Poor Patsy. I hope you can find a different way to get her feet feeling less sore again.

Yes they improved lots using it thanks, he started sitting funny after his first little stroke bless him so had similar to Eddie but on both front feet, only small thankfully but they healed really nicely staying dry and using that a couple of times a day. Hope it helps your gorgeous boy too if you use it :) x

Wow sounds like it worked a treat! What exactly is the cream called?
Perfect Paws Ointment, there’s the link, they do a smaller pot than that too. Just got a couple of creams from them last night for Aliona’s poorly piggy ‘boobies’, it’s a great site. The shampoos are brilliant too, Sheepy had terrible skin (was a big hairy boy!) and the only pig I actually had to give a proper bath bless him!
Perfect Paws Ointment: 25gm

Update:

Eddie's feet are starting to look better. The area that's red is smaller and the flakes of skin are gone completely. I put vetbed down on top of the towels yesterday during floortime and I've done the same again today. In the end I didn't put anything on his feet. All the advice from @Betsy @PigglePuggle @Bradshaw Piggies and @alpacasqueak was very helpful but different things worked and didn't work for all of you so I was worried I would do the wrong thing and make Eddie's feet worse. I'll keep monitoring of course and if they don't continue to improve I'll talk to the vet again but for now I'll leave them be. Eddie's going for his check up appointment next week anyway so I can mention his feet then if need be.

In other news, Eddie's weight is looking good. This morning he weighed in at 1020g which is the first time he's been above 1000 since his teeth problems so very happy about that 😄.
