Thank you ladies! Means a lot! Cocoa, I hope you are feeling better soon little lady! Moore than happy to help in any way I can :)

She's being very brave and getting along really well.
Big test tonight. We see what vet honest opinion is and course of treatment or need further looking at with more specialty vet.
Personally from seeing it about 7 / 8 weeks ago it's not got really any worse.
Bless Cocoa she gets on and eating. cleaning and squeaking away.
Her weight is good and this is a mystery. one i/we will keep very close monitoring. xx.20180415_122447.webpHello. @VickiA . love yer

Cocoa was very brave tonight  and she made a lovely impression to all vets & receptionists cos she’s so adorable!
The vets gave another thorough check. Her chest is clear & the little lump on her back is just in her skin. All results have come back clear apart from one we still waiting for. The culture fungal test should be back within a week. Her lip lump is no worse but no better. The next step will be to have her sedated & a biopsy taken.
We going to wait to see what the culture fungal test says before making the biopsy decision.
She’s eating well, wees & poops are fine. Her weight is also good (1097 today on empty tummy)
The vet seemed very thorough to be honest.
We’ll keep you updated
Well done Cocoa for being so brave .
Pity on you Heidi cos when Cocoa came back, it would have been nice to greet Cocoa before stealing her coriander treats straight away

Well done little Cocoa, sounds like your MOT went very well! Glad the vets loved you! You need extra treats off your slaves tonight!

Hoping the fungal test comes back quickly so you can make a decision on Cocoas lip. Huge hugs to you both guys, you are fab piggy slaves!

All Piggies this morning on good form
We did big clean out last night. Fresh everything hay bedding and "old carrot house was sneaked out" replaced with new Chloe was bit miffed but she soon settle with new one.
@Hoppity.K gave all lots tlc except me but lol that's ok. x

It's another repeat trip to the vet. A requested one this time. I've collected Cocoa results from the tests. Fungal. Bacteria. Mites. Hair.
Even a skin sample cultivated in a lab for 28 days. DAM all negative
This is not fair and bless her she's doing her best and a lovely tempered piggie.

So sorry that you are still left with no results. It can be soooo frustating, can't it?

All the best for your gorgeous lady nevertheless!

Cocoa’s had a pedicure (she just puts her paws out & allows them to be cut), a weigh (she’s a good weight... 1102g & her chest is clear.) But her mouth is worse than it was & now this vet is unsure what to do. This vet has admitted that Cocoa needs more specialist help.
We gonna need very specialist treatment. This vet has prescribed metacam (0.5mg/ml for cats) & to give 0.4ml once a day as a precaution (we’ve been there before)
So we stumped... any advice greatly appreciated. We’ve got a whole print out of all tests she’s had done... All negative.
She’s such a gorgeous loving piggy who lives so happily with her other 2 girly friends

I think it has been mentioned before, but have you considered going to Kim Maddock? she is wonderful with cases that seem a bit out of the ordinary and so good at explaining things too. My newbie is seeing her next week.

Yes it's been mentioned and we have not ignored it.
Cocoa was and i mean was but cos recent action very bad at travelling. 20180520_133437.webpand Heidi frets when the 3 are split up for whateva reason to the extent when we take Cocoa out Heidi will follow her/us around the room and put her paws up on the c+c waiting till she returns. It melts your heart to see and she makes a big fuss when reunited.
So to try and a void a day trip of many miles we have given all our local vets a chance and as this thread shows test after test later she is worse than ever now.
I promised to many I will give my pigs every chance to live in a happy world and to this I will keep.
So @Hoppity.K and i will draft a long and informative email to Simon and Kim asking if they willing to see our girl.
Best of luck with your piggie next week pls keep us updated and from all my piggies thanks for helping it means more than people realise. x:nod:

I'm sorry to add so late as I missed this thread before but adding thoughts healing vibes along with the others. Poor Cocoa seems to really be going through the ringer along with her very loving piggy parents. Very sorry to hear of the stress and worry to all there.

What a wonderful group of people surrounding you and your area-it's just very uplifting in a day to read about so many exceptional and caring people. It's really heartwarming to hear of all the support on and off this forum.

Hugs to little Cocoa and your piggy family.

Thank you very much. I'm emotional cos I want my girl fixed.

Poor little madame! Sending lots of hugs to you all. I think a trip to Simon would be handy, or Ashliegh vets in manchester has a very good rep with piggies too, they have their own small animal/exotics clinic.

Hello guys. been ages since I started this thread.
We now at this stage.
Cocoa is off to see a specialist lady vet in Holmes Chapel Wed afternoon 20th.
A big thanks to auntie @VickiA for helping us.
You and i will agree think seems a long time to get Cocoa to see a exotic vet but pls trust me we can't wait as I want our beautiful piggie better. We had to try our local vets as Cocoa is a very poor traveller she just hides but I must say last time @Hoppity.K was with her she was better so after about 10 visits 3 diff vet pratices and tons test here we are.
20180523_171543.webpyou can't belive but her bottom lip is swollen and cracked each side sometimes it bleeds.
Breaks me heart seeing her wobble about for her food.
Be brave Cocoa. xx
