Betsy's Guinea Pigs

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnddddddddddddddddddddddd I have a wheaker! I've heard a small wheak from the Misty and Bramble's cage over the last couple of days and not knowing their voices yet, I wasn't sure who it was. This morning Misty and Bramble were in the run and it was grass time and when I said "grass time", little Brambly Hedge was so excited she completely let rip! It's still a baby wheak at the moment so its still a bit on the quiet side, but I'm sure as she grows she'll get louder.

The last time I had a really loud wheaker was Pretty Patsy.

The Ever Beautiful Betsy was always up for a wheek too.

Aww Pringle has a very loud week as well.. Pepper surprisingly not at all!
They are like Toffee and Fudge were. Fudge 🌈 let Toffee stand on the podium and wheek for them both. That was generally Fudge’s character - relax and let Toffee do the hard work 😂 we coined an expression - doing a Fudge - where you ignore someone bothering you, just pretend you didn’t hear or get someone else to do something simple for you 🤣🤣

Tonight was the first time that both Misty and Bramble have taken most of their veg dinner from my hand. They are starting to feel settled and are getting used to routine in The Garage. We had popcorns this morning at breakfast time. Neither of them run and hide immediately I go in to see them either so they are clearly getting used to their new Bringer of Food. Bramble has started to show her cheeky pigsonality whereas Misty is more reserved. This may change, of course, when realise that this is their forever home. They are both lovely gentle girls who I will enjoy getting to know.

I am piggyless atm!:( The girlies are enjoying their holiday with Aunty Lilli. I took them last Thursday as we had the weekend away in the caravan and I'm off again on Saturday for a week's cruise. I pick them up again on 9 July. It's very strange not going to see them in the mornings to give them breakfast. I'm not going into the garage loads of times during the day for a chat and a check on them, then veggie time between 4 and 4.30 is non existent as is supper time just before I go to bed. I miss my girlies but know they are being well looked after.

Have a lovely time. Your girlies are so be more like them 😊

Well I collected my piggies yesterday from Aunty Lilli's. They were clearly spoilt far more than they are here as they have put on weight. Little Bramble is not so little any more she put on a massive 80g!

Thea settled in straight away back in Betsy Towers and went exploring to make sure everything is as it should be and Misty and Bramble just hid under a HUGE pile of hay and didn't even come out for their pea flake supper last night so I had to go and find them. I'm just leaving them in the cage atm so they can settle back in their home in the garage. Thea is in the run and will be for a few days while the other 2 find their bearings again. It's lovely to have them home. The garage was too quiet without them.

At pellet time this morning, Bramble was up at the bars looking for her breakfast while I gave Thea hers. Misty was still asleep so didn't hear me say "breakfast time". Bramble is still quite easily spooked but is gaining in confidence. Bramble is now 7 months old and is looking more like an adult but thinner. She just needs to fill out a bit. Her fur is getting longer and I'm grooming her every couple of days now but she keeps in good condition with not many tangles.
