Betsy Ovarian Cysts?

Dennis is really missing Betsy while she is in the Hospital Cage. Betsy has really brightened up today and I think that putting her back with Dennis will help her. Do I need to wait for the stitches to disolve first or can I put her back in the hutch tonight? The hutch is washable puppy pads with hay until my new fleeces arrive which shold be the beginning of next week.
Obviously everyone has their own opinion, but I was advised by the vet to never separate Honey and Willow, unless Willow became a risk to Honey. I was just told to remove access to the loft (obvious really) but I really think Willow helped Honey recover and get over it, she even cleaned her eyes for her 😍😩 I'd suggest trying them together but just keeping a close eye. I think Dennis would probably understand she's "fragile" ☺

// edit: sorry just seen they're already together! Hope they're doing good 💛

In the notes that came home with Betsy it said to keep her quiet for the first 24 hours after surgery while the GA wears off and not to put her on hay or shavings because they may stick to the wound. Until my new fleeces arrive (hopefully in a few days) the hutch has washable puppy pads and hay. So I could keep a close eye on her she was in the hospital cage. That way its easer to monitor how much she is eating/drinking and weeing/pooping.

Brilliant to hear Betsy is doing so well and reunited with the lovely Dennis.
I'm sure Dennis understands, but great to hear Betsy has already given him to low down in no uncertain terms.xx

Betsy didn't want much syringe food this morning and certainly not at speed feed mode! She only took 5ml at an average pace. I think it's safe to say she is eating for herself. When I put some fresh hay in the hutch this morning she immediately went haydiving and starting chomping! :D

This is scar day 4

Aw, Betsy you are such a clever girl. I’m glad you are back with handsome Dennis x

Good news! Betsy didn't want a syringe feed tonight so that means she is eating properly again. Her bum has shrunk considerably and her scar is lovely and is healing well.

Hopefully her broken teeth will grow back soon and so will the fur that fell out and she won't look so scraggly as she does now.

Final update on Betsy.

Her bum which was quite enormous due to her having HUGE ovarian cysts is shrinking by the day, her nipples are also shrinking and aren't so elongated, her scar has practically healed and the fur is growing back on her tum. Just waiting for the fur to grow back that fell out due to the hormones caused by the cysts. She no longer screams when being picked up. Dennis is popular once more. She is moving around a lot more as she obviously feels so much better. Betsy loves a cuddle again and even makes happy noises when I stroke her. Her appetite is as good as ever and she is nearly back to being the happy beautiful girl that she was.

That is such fantastic news!

So happy Betsy is pretty much back to her old self, and the stress is lifted for you now 🤗
