Having a baby isn't the joy filled fun fiesta it's made out to be that's for sure!

Isn't that the truth. The joys of motherhood and hormones making you forget how crap it all is 🤣 it won't be the first time I've said this but... Never again, I'm too old for this crap 🤣
All those blissfully pregnant celebs, "yummy mummies" and "earth mothers" showing off on social media have a great deal to answer for 😬

It's all smoke and mirrors, even with a nanny taking the strain motherhood is not that easy. I feel sad for those who get taken in by it all and have a nasty shock when they find out the truth. I have to admit though the years bringing up children were the best years of my life.

I think those who speak of the true (and more often than mentioned) struggles of pregnancy and children are overtaken by the yummy mummies/glamorous pregnancies etc.

Now, I was blessed because I was lucky enough to have easy pregnancies and time after birth. BUT I know I was one of the lucky ones but it isn’t always like that for every woman - including those in my family.

Have the pains gone or developed into something more @Lady Kelly?
Wishing you all the best for the coming birth and everything afterwards.

Mostly it's just normal pregnancy discomfort now. I do get a bit of sciatica every now and then but seems to coincide with his movements so I think it will be resolved after birth (though physio has warned about flare ups in the future). We have developed a tool kit though which means I am better equipped to deal with it in future if it does happen.

It's already a definite no to anymore for me. I always said 2 or 3, hubby was firm on no more than 2 🤣 with all the problems and post natal depression last time, the problems I have had this time and an impending big birthday it's definitely time to call it a day

Lucky you. With Son No 1 I had terrible morning sickness for the first 14 weeks and often had to have 2 breakfasts (cos the first one came back up when I was cleaning my teeth) or 2 dinners (cos the first one came back up) and sometimes both! Son No 2 was fine but with Son No 3 it was awful. Feeling nauseous, back ache, terrible hay fever, swollen legs and feet just terrible. Oh and I had Sacroiliitis too which meant that my right leg would just collapse for no reason. I suffered for about 2 - 3 years after he was born too until it all settled down.

Oh no, that’s horrible! Would you have done it again if you’d known that’s how it would be?

Only thing I had was sciatica in second and third pregnancies. I got/get it sporadically on and off. Usually when I’ve done a lot of chores (cleaning the house).

Son No 3 was my surprise package and I didn't know I was pregnant with him until I was 8 weeks gone! He certainly wasn't planned.

Oh gosh my first pregnancy I had horrendous morning sickness and got prescribed medication. Sadly we lost that one at 10 weeks and then I had bad sickness with Jessica too. Managed without medication but I did only have about 4-5 weeks at the end of the second trimester where I felt well.
This time round the sickness was worse and I had to go on medication as I started losing weight but thankfully that stopped around 14 weeks, just a shame the sciatica kicked in at 9 weeks!
Pregnancy just doesn't agree with me 🤣

If men had babies the human race would have died out centuries ago! Women are like teabags you never know how strong they are until they get into hot water. :gp:

You have grown 2 humans @Lady Kelly you and your body are amazing!

My brain woke me up before 6 🥱😒 I tried to go back to sleep but failed so came on the forum. May as well get up! I’m going to wash my hair and start baking. I’ll need to make some cake as well, and more potato and apple crisps. Hopefully not overdone this time 😂😳

I'm an idiot. I started downloading something forgetting what a massive download it was and I don't want to leave it running overnight because I don't want to leave the PC running overnight. I'll need to babysit it til it's done, goodbye my planned early night lol.

Why don’t you want to leave it running overnight?

I bought something on ebay, which when it arrived wasn't exactly what I wanted so I returned it. I had a message yesterday (7th August) from ebay that the item had been returned and I should expect a refund by tomorrow (9th August). This morning I had a message from the seller asking me if I had returned the item! Then they asked me for the tracking number. If they looked on their return notification from ebay they would see the tracking number. They then asked me for a copy of the receipt from the Post Office to prove that I had returned the item! If they looked on the return case I opened they would see the tracking number on there. They would also see that it had been received by the Warehouse as the tracking number tracked it to the Warehouse which is why I had the notification that it had been received. I refuse to do someone's job for them. The person who sent the message should get off their fat ar5e and look for themselves!

Ebay have said that if I don't receive the refund by the 9th August I can ask them to step in and help. I will probably be doing that.

No luck yet finding a driving instructor or even getting on a waiting list. Half of them don't even reply which I think is just rude!
Someone else I know has just suddenly decided to learn, found an instructor and started lessons.... pity party for one coming up! ☹️

I have a great Evri driver - possibly the only one in the country XD
We have great Evri drivers/delivery guys here too. Always deliver it the day it should and always take photos for proof of delivery so I can see in the tracking where the packages were placed (they usually put it by the backdoor in our garden).

I have a great evri delivery driver too. Can't say the same for the new yodel guy who tried to deliver to me today. I live on a main road, with a house number. He calls to say he can't find the house but he can see a brown door without a door number is that mine? I mean none of the houses on this road have names, they are all numbers, does he not understand how door numbers go up

Touching wood while I write this, every driver with every company has been great the last few weeks (we've been having a lot of deliveries). The companies seem to have made an effort to employ nice sensible people recently. We do get a massive turnover in drivers, very rarely see the same one twice!

To be fair to DPD (ugh I hate even typing that), my computer chair got delivered by them and while they were late, the guy turned up and wasn't difficult about it. I can take something being late. Still dunno I wanna risk it again though.
