What made you happy today?

Yesterday we went to the in laws as hubby's sister was up visiting. Last time they had visitors I stayed home as my pain was too bad to manage the car journey. I sat down far too much and was very sore by the end of the day but I not only managed it, I woke up this morning with the same level of pain as if I hadn't been anywhere so that's a win win!
I'm so glad that your pain is getting a little better and allowing you to do some things you weren't able to do before.

Next week I’m 50!! I know I can’t believe it either.

Well Saturday afternoon I had a lovely afternoon tea with my two sisters, best friend and work colleagues. It was bottomless Prosecco too. I had a wonderful time.

Then today I had a lovely Chinese takeaway with my family. And had the bestest gift EVER.

A commissioned drawing of my late Eddie (16.5 years) and newbie Chester (1 year 5 months). I cried. It captures them both perfectly.

Sounds like a fabulous Start to your special birthday year. And that drawing is ultra special.

Both the larger fleeces for Betsy Towers have gone hard in places now despite me trying everything suggested by you lovely lot on Need help with my fleeces please. I thought I was going to have to replace them. By pure coincidence, the fleeces that I have in the Ferplast 120 for the new arrivals Misty and Bramble fit Betsy Towers perfectly. I'm letting the new piggies settle for a few weeks then I'll attempt a bonding with Thea. If it's a success the Ferplast 120 fleeces will go in the hutch. If not then I'll just have to use the old fleeces for a bit longer. I'm happy because I don't have to spend any more money out of my vet fund to replace the fleeces.

I always have my window open, and there's usually owls around after dark, but they don't normally sound quite so close as that one did tonight - it sounded close enough to make me jumo (and also close enough to make me glad the window to the goblin room is closed).

This week I have done my normal hours at work. This is after 4 weeks sick leave and then 6 weeks reduced hours. I have another doctor's note to take me through to maternity leave on reduced hours but told my manager that I wanted to try while I felt able. Blinking exhausted but it feels good to use my brain again

So glad you were able to manage it. Hopefully you won’t be in too much pain 😊

I had a nice cuddle with Toffee boy. I think he enjoyed it as much as I did. He got two dandelion leaves, 2 minutes on the grass, a nail trim and a good fuss. He seemed like he didn’t want to go back in the cage though.

We've had a simply wonderful weekend. It started off with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at The Royal Albert Hall playing the TV and Film Music Gala Extravaganza and it was absolutely superb! Almost everything they played I had goosebumps! Then we went for a lovely Chinese meal. This morning Son No 2 took us for breakfast at a lovely Cafe about 15 minutes walk away from our hotel in Ealing. After that he drove us to Primrose Hill and then we walked to Camden Market for lunch. On the way home, we went to Henley on Thames and met some friends at a pub for a sarnie and a drink.

Sounds like a wonderful time was had by all. :luv:
Isn’t it lovely to have such good memories of time with family and friends- just like 2 weekends ago in Vienna

My little brother is 60 today and we’ve had a lovely time celebrating.
They’re staying with us for a couple of days so we all went out for a birthday lunch and as the meal ended the staff brought out a scoop of ice cream with a birthday candle in it.
We played Quirkle this evening and are now just chilling.
It’s been a lovely day.

How lovely. Glad you were able to spend quality time together

Family on their way back to Wiltshire after a lovely couple of days.
Short walk in today’s sunshine this morning then a pancake brunch before they had to leave.
Having only met up once since we moved in 2019 it’s been so nice to catch up.
Now to plan a trip down south next January 😁

I ordered takeaway - a panini and a burger, because the washing machine's on and I suddenly needed food, fast. It's very irritating when that happens.

Anyway. I don't normally order chips with these things because to be honest, most of the time the chips are terrible. I'd rung up to ask them not to add tomato (because I don't like it) and they rang me back shortly before delivery to say "so I know it said no chips but I accidentally sent you chips, don't tell the delivery guy and just leave them if you don't want them plzkthnx."

Friends, these chips are amazing. Seriously. I haven't even started on the other stuff yet because chips!

I love good chips. 😍

Had a lovely day with my husband celebrating him passing his 6month probation at work today. Yummy food and then popped to a nearby animal park.
Managed to steal myself a couple of friends for the herd too 😂
