What made you happy today?

I got an Asda delivery for tomorrow afternoon. No more worrying about filling piggy bellies (or satisfying my caffeine fix). My brain keeps wanting to finish that with "Thank the Maker!", which tells me I've been playing Dragon Age for too long. Yay for tomorrow though.

Just went to wash my hands... tried to lather, realised it wasn't working and all smelled a bit minty.

It was toothpaste

Not a happy thing per se, but it did give me a chuckle :)) Time for an early night, I think...

My dad put toothpaste on a boil recently. It hurt so much. He thought it was savlon. My mum, who has dementia, had swapped the tubes over. At least he didn’t clean his teeth with the antiseptic cream.

I got out the house today and not to a hospital or doctors! I woke up and the pain wasn't too bad for a change so decided to risk the 10-15 min journey. Halfway there the pain got bad because sitting in the car is the worst thing for my pain but it eased quickly with walking slowly around. We picked lots of flowers for the pots, herbs to refresh the herb garden and some beetroot seedlings and potatoes. They also have a Works there so picked up an animal plaster painting set for Jessica for the weekend seeing as getting out is pretty much impossible.

Hopefully time in the garden this weekend, planting beautiful things with my husband and daughter will be a good tonic after being predominantly housebound for the last couple of months.

@Lady Kelly I hope you can enjoy some family time in the garden. @Betsy I hope you have a wonderful time in your caravan.

We had a gorgeous sunny and warm day today. I got loads done in the garden. The roofers didn't turn up so it was really peaceful, we weren't sure if they would arrive or not. They didn't say anything when they left yesterday, just disappeared at 2pm leaving us with felt and batons down but no tiles. It rained in the night and sounded like we were sleeping in a tent! At least it was peaceful until 3.30 when the scaffolders turned up next door! Looks like next doors roof will be coming off some day soon.

After a stressful hour and a half this morning completing the unnecessarily complicated ESTA forms for my husband and me so that we can visit The States at the end of May, we have been authorised to enter The United States of America.

Oh my goodness - you just reminded me I need to do these for my daughter so she can go to Summer camp this year.
Slightly worried now that I know they are complicated....

Ooh exciting. When are you going?

Are you coming for the Indy 500?

I have had the time over the bank holiday to just do things I enjoy, I have also caught up on jobs around the house, no rush or trying to fit it in around work, we cooked a lovely meal yesterday, I made curry today from scratch, well started yesterday with the marinating and cooked today, I emptied my ironing basket, not something I enjoy but there was no pressure to have it done, took the dogs for a nice walk and spent time working on my quilt.
I feel calm and happy 😊

Er ..... Sadly not.

New York with Sons No 1, 2 and 3.

You are going to have so much fun in New York! I've been there once and had a great time. I highly recommend buying a subway map and wearing gloves while riding the subway. The subway is...ah, how do I put this? A bit dirty, but there are fantastic musicians and artists that perform down there. I was glad I wore gloves as it kept my hands from germs. I wish the subway was cleaner like the metro in Washington, DC.

I just hate filling out forms online. It didn't help that the OH thought he was "helping" when he really wasn't. My advice is to do it alone. You will need your daughter's passport.

My son‘s clot has decreased significantly and be was given the thumbs up for everything else as well! Relief 😁 now to wait and see if they will bring his dermatology review forward 🤞🏾

I got a Tesco order for tomorrow (dearer than Asda's delivery would've been but), I wanted cans, Tesco had cans in stock. Asda did not have cans in stock last week. I don't trust Asda to not have cans. I also organised the right side of my desk so all my vapes would fit on it better which...now that I think about it, is probably somewhat embarrassing. But now they're within much easier reach so I can find the one I'm looking for much quicker, lol.

I sanded the flaking paint on the bathroom walls. I've wanted to do it for ages but kept putting it off as the sander is so noisy. The boys have been in the shed today as the roofers are back (thank goodness) so I took the opportunity to make a noise and mess! Now I just have to buy some paint and I can tart the walls up while they are still having to go out, probably for the rest of this week.
