URGENT GUINEA PIG DYING

Very sorry for your loss

RIP Messi

I’m so sorry for the sad update :( When things aren’t so raw, please do make a complaint about your vet. Sadly, allergic reactions can happen with any medication / topical treatment but your vet shouldn’t have sent you away with Messi being like that even though they were closing

Sorry to hear this how gutting. I wish i could have helped in person but obviously couldnt. 😟

I'm so sorry that Messi didn't make it through, poor boy.
How is his friend Edmund?

When you feel up to it, you could contact the vet to find out what the cream was that was put on him, then you can maybe work out whether the vet used the wrong thing or Messi had a rare reaction. Their actions in sending you home with a very sick pet, and no appropriate treatment either, seems wrong to me though. My vets won't send a pig home after surgery etc until they are happy that he is recovering.

Itd be good to report it to the vet even if it saves other pigs lifes. If it was the cream
