URGENT GUINEA PIG DYING

I put some hay in the cage and he walked towards it in a slow wobbly fashion. He is now under the hay.

But he still isnt moving much and he hasnt been eating.
It's something that he is moving a bit. Are you able to feed him anything using a small (non hypodermic) syringe? He really needs to eat something to stop his guts shutting down. Any luck with finding an emergency vet? Finger crossed for Messi and you!x

It is possible that your veterinarian has applied a product that is not suitable for guinea pigs, has mis-caluted the dosage, and/or your guinea pig has reacted badly to a product that is usually well-tolerated.

Personally, I would attempt to wash the product off. I would be cautious about syringing water, and/or food etc. Likewise, I would advise keeping your guinea pigs close to one another, but apart.

As others have said, it is important that your guinea pig is kept in a calm/quiet, and warm environment, and that you continue to seek veterinary advice.

Can you send videos on this site? I'd like to move the hay and send a video of him trying to move.

Could I blend a smoothie and squeeze a little bit into his mouth? My syringe is too narrow for anything else to pass through

Be careful syringing any liquids into a poorly piggie, only really tiny amounts. When you get a chance have a look a syringe feeding guides on forum tab

You have to load videos into YouTube or similar and put a link to it.
Tbh, we aren't vets or able to diagnose from a photo or video, and a vet is what he needs right now.
If you have a 1ml plastic syringe, you can cut the very end off just where it widens, to make it big enough to suck up mushed up pellets etc.

I squirted 1ml of orange juice into his mouth and he didn't really want it but thought it necessary. Could lifting him out of pen to feed him make him die from fear?

That will be packed with vit c which is good , and itl hydrate him, but you really need fibre going in too. Do you have any critical care recovery feed?

Any news from vets? He needs emergency vet treatment ASAP

The vet hasn't phoned me back yet. Have a look at his current condition on my youtube channel "Marquez23"

I have no recovery feed.
Mash up nuggets? Soak nuggets in any little container or bowl and shove it in the back of the syringe with your finger. Cut the tip of the syringe first. The narrow part, and syringe 1/4 of the it at a time. If its the 1ml syringe

A forum can't help you at this point, I am so sorry and I not meaning to sound harsh in any way. I understand the pain you are in, please ring round all the emergency vets you can find in your area and get him to one. He needs to see a vet. Massive hugs and love to Messi

Be careful of the rubber bung inside the syringe, once you have cut the syringe its easy for it go go all the way through.

Ive watched your videos, he doesnt look like hes near dying to be honest. But do try get a vet appointment asap. Something is def not good

My nuggets are like twigs and they dissolved in seconds. But he really didnt want it but I forced fed him. I hope he has swallowed and digested it.

No thank you for linking them. When I hold him it feels like theres no strength in his front legs
