Two spoilt pigs šŸ˜Š

Patrick update. Heā€™s put on 55g in his first week with me. Heā€™s taken food out of my hand and heā€™s eaten grass while on my lap. Heā€™s still shy. But heā€™s doing great.

OMG šŸ˜

I was catching Patrick to give him a quick cuddle and a pea flake and he started screaming blue murder. Anyone would think I had him by the ears or something. Anyway Pebble shot from the other side of the cage and positioned himself between me and Patrick. It was sooo sweet. Bless him. Such a good uncle pig. šŸ˜

But then deciding it smelt too delicious to be scared.

The first summer I gave Lexi šŸŒˆ and Thea grass, Lexi ran away from it as it was something new and obviously something to be scared of. Thea cautiously tried some and found it delicious then Lexi came up very warily as she saw Thea chomping away quite happily and tried some and decided it was lovely stuff too.

Itā€™s funny watching them discovering new food and teaching others to love or loathe.
Merab taught all mine to hate coriander until Micah was given some by @PigglePuggle when we last moved and they stayed with her. He didnā€™t know that coriander is horrible stuff so he wolfed it down and taught the others that it was very nice !

Been to the vets with Patrick and she couldnā€™t see any signs of mites, lice or fungal. She said it just might be his normal. He did have a build up of wax in his left ear so she gave me some drops to put in for a few days. They have slight anti fungal and anti bacterial properties so Iā€™ll rub it on the outside too. She said just put olive oil on them or coconut oil and see how it goes.

He was a good boy for his first visit and got a small bag of forage because he was a new patient šŸ„°

I think he is a Rex. Does anyone know if Rexā€™s are prone to dry skin. I vaguely remember reading that some breeds are but canā€™t remember which ones. @Betsy did Silver Fox Christian have dry ears/skin?

I was thinking Iā€™m sure itā€™s Rex/ Teddies that can have dry skin, I know my Pepper what ever mix his was had dry skin and the vet advised a bath every now and again to help with his ā€œdandruffā€ Panko is also the same, his skin is dark and can look quiet alarming when he gets a bit flaky!

Thanks for that. Yes I think the dry skin looks worse as Patrickā€™s ears are grey.
