The Adventures of Popchop and Fuzzable

Hello! We've been missing for quite a while, so just felt like updating everyone on our fat boys. They are now approaching middle age and have matured into very mellow pigs who love their creature comforts. Every time I'm in Pets at Home I have to resist buying them another bed!

The pigs have made extremely good use of their garden this year, especially in the Indian summer we got at the beginning of September. Sadly, the year has turned and the garden is now too damp to use, but they put in a sterling effort making sure the grass is nice and short over winter!

Despite their now-peaceful relationship, for a long time we couldn't have both pigs out for lap time at the same time. For some reason they both found the temptation to bite the other's bottom just too strong, and the whole thing soon turned into a brawl. The Big Bed, for some reason, seemed to make it worse, I have no idea why.

They seem to have finally grown out of that. Look at them snuggled up in the Big Bed on my lap!

Autumn means the piggy garden is closed for the year, but the season has some compensations!

There is something funny going on with the sweetcorn this year, though. Both sets I've bought have had a really measly amount of silk in them, which is the pigs' favourite part. My auntie, who grows corn, said that hers had no silks at all, they seem to have been eaten by some kind of pest! Has anyone else noticed this?

(For any beginners, don't feed guinea pigs sweetcorn, it's much too fattening for them, but they love the husks and silks)

Oh they are such chilled out gorgeous boys 💙💙

Pigs are home from their holidays! They were staying with their auntie while we were up north for a week. Celebrating their return with a sprinkling of grass from their garden, probably the last trim this year!

Yes, the weather was changeable but we had enough good weather to enjoy the outdoors, and enough terrible weather to snuggle up inside and enjoy the sound of rain on the caravan roof.
I love the sound of rain on a caravan roof.

Glad you had a lovely break.
