Salisbury Meet - 21 January 2023

Really hope you can make it Gemma I was looking forward to getting drunk in the hotel with you!
I've applied for a refund so should hear back in the next couple of hours šŸ¤ž.I'll wait to see if I get it and if I do I'll book those other tickets.I don't think that route will be affected?I was really looking forward to it too.

Just had an email saying I'm getting a refund for my tickets.Should take a few days for the money to go into my account but if the route I was looking at isn't affected I will buy those tickets.

It is with much regret l have to let you know, Can't make the weekend meet up. l have covid again!., seems it's doing the rounds the school and colleges, both Faith and lsaac have it ,and have shared it with me. It's scary, knowing that l was left with long covid when l had it a couple of years ago . It's not nice, hope you have a great day, will be thinking of you all, xx

Oh no Angie! :(
Hopefully it's only a mild version of covid and you can shake it off quickly.

I had it again just before Christmas & it lasted about 10days, but it was more like a slightly flu'y head cold - but definitely a lot easier than the previous versions I've had.

Stay warm and safe, hopefully Faith & Isaac feel better soon too

Perhaps we could do another meet in the spring for everyone who can't make this one. Seems fraught with obstacles this time! :(

Healing vibes coming your way, luv the girls & I.

@Gem789 hope your tickets can be refunded quickly and the other route is available :tu:
(sorry to hear you've lost the gorgeous Pickle :bye:šŸ’” hope you're ok? The girls send love & licks).

I'm going to check tomorrow at the local station if I can get train tickets, Trainline & South West trains all tell me I can buy a ticket, but say for different days/earlier/later times?
@Betsy I might have to drive yet šŸš™:dri::td:

@Crystella šŸ¤žšŸ» the buses are running OK.
Xx

Hey,

What exactly are these meets can someone explain it in more Detail?

Never been to one and not sure what there like.
They are just informal meeting ups of forum members. Usually held in a pub. Open to all members of the forum over the age of 18. Itā€™s flexible re timings - some people pop in for an hour, others stay for longer and have a meal. Itā€™s sort of a tradition for members to bring a woolly pig with them. They are usually great fun - meeting other guinea pig slaves, talking unlimited guinea pig talk without watching peopleā€™s eyes glazing over, swapping hints and tips and anecdotes about our piggies. They are easy going events and itā€™s a great way to put faces to names of forum members.

You are more than welcome to join us tomorrow. OH and I are hoping to get to the pub around 12ish. Just look for woolly pigs on a table and I'll be wearing a piggy top. 12-4 at The Kings Head in Salisbury. Its a 5 min walk from the station if you're arriving by train.

:tu: And sometimes members take goodies to raffle or sell as a little fund-raiser for a rescue.

It's a bit far for me unfortunately otherwise I'd love to come. Hope everyone who wants to go can sort out a way around the train cancellations! And you all have a great time :D:beer::woot: @teddymouse sorry you've got Covid again, I hope you are all better very soon.

Thanks, I would go, however I canā€™t due to my friends wanted to meet up last minute that I havenā€™t seen for a while and the trains are being annoying that way. (Would rather not risk relying on replacement rail buses) hopefully Iā€™ll be able to make a future meet up.

I'm sitting on the train now. I have my guinea pig t-shirt on, but it's freezing so my hoodie on top! :))

See you later folks. Safe trip.
Is it only the 5 of us?
