Pringle & Panko’s Thread

Vets have called and he was just waking up, teeth look lovely so that’s good news but doesn’t really explain the peculiar face movements or dropping of the nuggets (which he has stopped doing!) so it’s a mystery! But I’m very glad he didn’t need a dental!
 
I’m so upset, pankos really struggling to eat veggies and when I have gone to look the vet has trimmed his front teeth, he was going in for an exam as far as I was concerned his teeth looked perfect so why on earth would they trim them!
I will be on the phone to them tomorrow I don’t normally see this vet but our usual one is on holiday.
 
Oh no that’s so annoying. Hopefully Panko will master how to eat ok until they grow longer. 🤞🏻
 
I hope so just so mad she didn’t tell me!

Thank you! I will try that weirdly he was happy to like rip them out of our hands, but I will do strips for him!

Yes, she said it was only a tiny bit that was taken off and he should have issues eating! If it was just a tiny bit why on earth would you do it! They then just starting giving me advice on after care etc which I don’t really need, they didn’t really take me up on why I was not informed that they had performed a dental when I thought it was just an exam.
I will not be seeing this vet again, our normal vet is amazing and she would do no such thing like this.

It’s really not! I knew in my gut I didn’t want this vet to treat the boys but I thought well it’s just an examination. My gut was right!
 
I'm so sorry. Vets are not supposed to give any treatment without your consent after discussing the options and costs with you. You have every right to be extremely angry.
 
Panko seems to be almost fully recovered, he has been more and more active today, up 20g in weight and eating hay and nuggets!
We are still catching him doing his odd chewing but if he is happy and maintaining weight I can live with that!
I have raised a complaint with our vets about what happened as I did feel it needed to be raised, we do have the option to move to a practise not far from our current vet that comes recommended from a rescue.

I've been thinking of you this week, I've been looking for some 30cm square hammocks like I had from you but no one seems to make them right!

New job is good thank you, been very busy so was glad to get away! I’ll be making some in August as I’m going to do a small amount of sewing!
