A bit closer. Can you spot it yet?

It's a Blackbird nest!

It's a beautiful thing! Mr Biackbird was busy gathering leaves for the outside a couple of days ago while Mrs Blackbird was busy gathering moss to line it.
Wow your Mrs Blackbird has her Mr Blackbird well trained! Year after year I only ever see Mrs Blackbird hard at work, gathering twigs, gathering moss, making mud, while Mr Bb just sits in tree singing!
Later on tho he does help feed the babies and heckle the jackdaws.

How lovely, you’ll soon be able to watch her sat in some eggs, spring must be on its way!

I’m having a new patio laid at the moment and it’s hailstoning again! Poor workmenIMG_2261.webp
🥶 Can anyone advise why do my hyacinths overgrown every year?

Not sure about the hyacinths @Bill & Ted but I wonder if the bulbs aren't deep enough? I've got a little patch that have gone over this year, I'm going to try deepening the soil over the top of them when they have gone over, the flower beds need topping up with compost anyway.

My daffodils and tulips are growing well! The daffs have buds on, assuming they will grow much taller before opening flower? I wonder when, with this being their first growing year?

More of my fuchsia's are waking up from hibernation with new growth.

The two new roses I bought earlier in the year and potted into small pots, I thought I'd killed them off and got them too early. However, parts of them have shrivelled and will need cutting back but.... both of them have lots of new growth!

Hopefully not be too long and I can do the spring pot tidy/soil refresh/chopping back. Warmer weather please arrive now.

Last year our box hedge was infested with Box Moth caterpillars. So I bought nematodes to try and save it. We were hoping this spring it would start to rejuvenate.

Today we were looking to see if we could see any new growth and saw 100s of caterpillars again. This is what we hoped wouldn’t happen. So we have decided to dig it up. So sad as we planted it quite a few years ago.

Moved all my plant pots into the sunny side of garden. List done for what needs repotting / declagging / new soil. This will be next month now. Hopefully the weather continues to improve! Counting down the weeks until I get some summer bedding plants 😊

My inside garden - is continuing to grow well. Cacti leaves need a spring clean ready for new leaves and brighter sunshine. Spider plant seems to have revived itself too.

I got some viola plants and a geranium today. Spent a happy hour potting them in containers. Still have a few other odd jobs to do and the fences to paint, if the weather ever improves!

The roses I got a while ago and thought I'd killed have revived with lots of new growth. I still haven't cut the dead growth off, I was waiting for the weather to improve as I still need to prune my fuchsia's. Maybe that needs to go top of the list as I think the roses will need bigger pots too.
