On our way to emergency vet

I'm so sorry he didn't make it, I hope the Cat and Rabbit were able to provide some answers as to what happened. I dont think there was anything you could have done differently to save him. Again, I'm so sorry 😞
 
Oh I’m so sorry, so gutted for you and Dan :( You did everything you could for him and he had the best life ever with you. Massive hugs xx

He had a wonderful life with you and will leave a huge hole in your hearts.

Thank you all. The support means a lot

The vet thinks it was something sinister, further down. Hence not all food and liquid being able to get down into his digestive system.

Dan is still driving home. He’s driven Bobby back in the carrier with Rufus (who accompanied him for the trip). That gives Rufus time to process what’s happened. We will have Bobby cremated up here at our local vet (as we have with the others), so we don’t need to make another 6 hour trip for his ashes. He’ll have a special place on the shelf with the others (watching over my remaining boys)
 
Oh no I'm so so sorry. God needed his piggy angel back and he had to go.
RIP Bobby, over the Bridge.

You tried all you could, it's so difficult because they can't give us any idea what is wrong when they get ill.

One of my boars passed as I was driving to the vet, too. When I looked in the case after checking in, I realised he'd gone. I don't normally cry, but on that occasion ...

I am so sorry to read your sad news. You tried so hard - you could not have done more, but he will now be out of pain and popcorning with his new friends.

We still feel numb this morning. We will be dropping Bobby off for his cremation later. Rufus seems fine on his own at the moment and is eating. We will be having a reshuffle of the guinea pig room over the weekend as he is currently in the cage above the others, and I don't want him up there alone.

Today marks 2 years since Odin left us for the bridge. We have lost 3 in 6 months this year too :(
